I am very delighted to report that once again, we were so happy to be stolen away by this lovely boutique hotel! The location is fantastic with great views of the fjord. The area is car free, very walkable with a ton of restaurants & bars nearby, yet not so close that the nightlife disturbed our sleep. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfy and the staff was warm, friendly and welcoming. The Spa was an absolute godsend after our long flight. And the breakfast was truly epic! I think it is the best breakfast buffet we have ever encountered anywhere on all of our travels. Such a HUGE selection, there was something to please everyone. Oslo itself is lovely. It's very clean, with excellent facilities but be aware that it is very expensive. I've been there before, so I only went there again because I was going to stay with a friend. Unfortunately she got COVID, so I had to book a hotel at the last minute. A city that is not too big (it's walkable to most attractions, if you like walking), but has a lot packed into it. If you like culture then the Munch and National museums are both excellent and you may find yourself spending longer in them than anticipated. Being Scandinavia, it's generally clean with little litter. Yes, it's more expensive than back home in the UK, but not eye-wateringly so. For alcohol I would recommend buying cans from a supermarket (a little over £2 a can) rather than the £8 plus for under a pint in the bars.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom
