Nice clean bedrooms. One roomy bathroom. Lots of space in the dining living and kitchen area. Located right on the beach and close to a nice local restaurant. We lived our stay and would have stayed a couple days longer if we would have had the time!! 10 out of 10 👍🏻Guest review byMariaCanada

The perfect location for a quiet, peaceful stay right in the middle of the Nikau Forest!. The beds were comfy and there was everything you needed in the kitchen. We stayed in Ruru Lodge, plenty of room for me and my friend in our bedroom. A good size lodge which is a little tired, the bathrooms need an upgrade. Really good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.Guest review byDeborahNew Zealand - 10.0
Westport always delivers no matter what the weather.
Westport always delivers no matter what the weather. So many things to see & do including fantastic walkways & cycle rides. After any good ride, a great place to have a beer is at the Shortjaw brewery.Guest review byClaireNew Zealand - 8.0
Reefton is a lovely town.
Reefton is a lovely town. The river hydro walk is enjoyable as to the local pubs. Dawsons provides a good meal. The new Pizza parlour Bassano makes great pizza, though I thought the wine was overpriced. Accomodation were I have stayed, both great places. Different price points but neither can be faulted. Harold House and The Old Vicarage.Guest review byKarenNew Zealand - 10.0

Suzanne the owner was so lovely and bent over backwards to help us. We had a lot of washg and she was happy for us to use her facilities. She recommended to us a lovely place to have dinner right by beach, but unfortunately was closed that night so went into town. The unit we stayed in was lovely, very tasteful, very comfortable with everything we needed. We wd totally recommend this place to others, and if we are ever in Westport again wd want to stay there. Tony and Charyse, Gisborne.Guest review byTonyNew Zealand - 6.0

Charleston is very small town with old history from the gold fever time. Very quiet place. There are some activities as underground caves. You can also visit near old gold mine or to do short beach walk.Guest review byJIRICzech Republic - 10.0

It is great for Cycling now as the Kawhiti Trail is complete. The accommodation is at the mid point on the trail. This location is perfect for a weekend as you can ride in one direction one day and ride in the other direction the other day.Guest review byvan Wijk - 10.0

Lewis Pass Motel is the Ideal place to get away from the city, Comfort of home, quiet restful and was blessed with awesome weather. The tap water is really good. Only drink filtered water in the city. It was REALLY GOOD !!!! Didn’t get to Springs Junction itself. Used the motel as a base to spend time at Maria Springs. Will go back and look at the walks in the area.Guest review byReid - 8.0
The motel unit was absolutely clean and welcoming.
The motel unit was absolutely clean and welcoming. Had everything we needed. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable. The wifi worked better outside the unit and closer to reception/cafe area, good excise for a coffee, but it did not worry us because we wanted a break from it all. It worked well when we needed it.Guest review bySan-Marie - 10.0
Nature at its best!
Nature at its best! We visited the Pancake Rocks twice, once at low tide and once at high tide, to see the contrast. It took us about 45 minutes each time but it was worth it to us. Wish we could come back in a million years to see what has disappeared due to erosion, earthquakes, etc. There is also a very good restaurant--Punakaiki Rocks--in the village, which has interesting decorations and tasty food.Guest review bythierryCanada
