Mangonui is gorgeous - fabulous walkway, unique art & gift shops, great eating - Breakfast at Jesse's was huge & delicious. It is also handy to all the East Coast beaches - the north is always a favourite trip down memory lane for us.Guest review byShirleyNew Zealand - 10.0
Great beach and good location to explore the far North area.
Great beach and good location to explore the far North area. We took a bus tour up to Cape Reinga which was a real highlight and explored nearby Cape Karikari in our car. We ate our dinners at Mangonui, a 5 minute drive from Coopers BeachGuest review byAndrew - 10.0

if you want to stay for a few days, this is perfect as it had a seperate living area to the bedroom with a kitchenette. We were close to the pool and backed onto a lovely garden. Resturant is a lovely spot to watch the beach and sunset while enjoying a drink or meal.Guest review byRochelleAustralia - 2.0

Facilities described on the website were all closed except the golf course. the pool was closed but even had it been open the description of "an infinity pool" was 100% wrong it was old and dirty with awful paintwork and there was no infinity aspect at all.Guest review byandrewNew Zealand - 10.0

A cute lil fishing village with a lot of vibe.
A cute lil fishing village with a lot of vibe. Newly built walkways around the coast, lots of wonderful restaurants - with takeaway options. The 4-square is very well supplied and people are friendly and relaxed. The ocean waves lap in here, nice wee spot with excellent scenery with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Lovely accommodation at really reasonable prices.Guest review byJules WatfordNew Zealand - 8.0

It's a lovely beachside area with relatively calm waters. Would be good to base yourself here for a few days to explore the surrounding area. Only about a 90minute drive to Cape Reinga. November is still a little too cold in the water for a Queensland bloke to swim.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0

Taipa has the lovely resort and beach, but there is not much else. However, Taipa is part of a gorgeous stretch of coastline including Cable Bay, Coopers beach and Mangonui. Within a few kilometers you have all the amenities you need, plus local attractions and shopping. There is the Famous Mangonui Fish shop over the water, a couple more lovely cafes, places to buy local art and craft, a walkway and pa, a picaresque harbour and opportunities to get out on the water. Go!Guest review bybethNew Zealand - 10.0

It was a super lovely location an hour from Kerikeri airport. We cooked one night and went to mangonui for dinner (about 10 min drive) the other night. We went to Carringtons one night too, but I definitely do NOT recommend doing that.Guest review byLeisaNew Zealand - 8.0

Staff were friendly however there was a power cut so no tv, unable to buy food or drinks. Power was off for a lengthy time it would have been nice to get an update or a discount. Other than that it’s always nice to stayGuest review byTuiNew Zealand
