United KingdomJust an incredible place - 'cabin' is understating it. The views across to Auckalnd and Rangitoto alone are worth the price, but it's the little touches that make this place special: all the fittings are metal where possible, the finishing is exceptional, and the wine is from across the road. It gave our stay a feeling of luxury and care that was beyond the price. It was also probably the best bed we've ever had - it shaped itself to us in a way neither of us had experienced before.

Easy parking beside home.
2 friendly little dogs welcomed us. Colin and Aitu made us all a gin & tonic while we sat in their garden chatting before we headed out for our dinner.
Colin also driver/operator of his taxi.

Everything is here that you could possibly need.
The hot tub was perfect for our winter break for a warm soak and to soothe aching muscles from all the walking we did on the island.
So handy for all the wineries and activities around Onetangi Beach and Valley, and just a short drive or bus ride to everything else.

The view from the bed room and living room is really special! I was a bit ditzy about some of the information and the owners were super responsive and patient. It’s so unspoilt. There is a lovely beech in walking distance which was empty most of my stay. I could walk for about an hour without seeing anyone but locals, who were super friendly. The views are unbelievable! The range of bird life and wildlife is delightful, from bunnies, pheasants to green and red parrots flying in a pair. Their list of recommendations are spot on, from great places to eat to the best beaches to visit. A peaceful haven! Probably not a popular destination compared to others on the island,suited us though. Good range of shops. The Woolworths supermarket was a bonus as far as buying groceries for the motel room. The RSA is a friendly destination, and provided takeaway meals for the weary traveller to take back to their motel. Some nice fashion shops worth a look too. A minor hassle was the amount of road noise heard in the motel room (probably sounded louder with the motel being situated uphill a short distance from the road). Sensational location on the cliff. Everything very clean and all necessary things sufficiently available. The beds are good, very nicely furnished. Thanks to the host for the helpful tips. We were there at the beginning of April and it was not hot. In real summer it can heat up a lot as there are many windows. There is a mobile cooling unit in the living room (with a hose to the outside when the window is open. In the bedrooms only fan. The villa had an amazing view but would suggest just booking a Waiheke Island Resort room direct, where you would pay less than half the nightly fee for similar villa and have FULL use of their facilities. It’s a beautiful place, the views, pool, spa and bbq area are all stunning, such a lovely spot. It’s easy to get around Waiheke from here, by bus as well, we went to Ostend, Oneroa etc and had great food and walks. We enjoyed everything and it was very tidy and clean. Waiheke is amazing there are lovely beaches to visit and great wineries and tours, every one we meet was super helpful. the bus service is great you can even visit wineries by getting a bus! Close to regular buses going to Onetangi and other direction to Oneroa and ferry. Ostend has seating’up town’, shade under sail with tables and grass under foot,big interesting Saturday market,large RSA,Woolworths supermarket,clothing shop and interesting boutique style gift shop,several more and a petrol station and eating out places.It’s pleasant walking around paths off road, the odd local has put a seating bench outside front gate for the public- beautiful views of sea.Easy short walk to The Causeway and moored old quaint boats.Our family group came for family wedding, stayed at Waiheke Motel in four studios, Ostend.Awesome.Guest review byGabrielNew Zealand - 8.0

You get exactly what is shown and described. Wake up with a great ocean view, great deck to relax on, neat simple room and perfect for 2 people.
