- From $234.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 220 reviewsFantastic little place with a lot of atmosphere! the room had a lot of space, it was clean and super comfortable. The staff was amazing and welcoming, making us feel at hone, as every request was answered immediately. the internet was slow, but the hotel manager warned us before we even knew that there is a general issue related to the entire area, so it’s not the hotel’s fault. the AC a bit noisy, but it didn’t matter much as this hotel is a gem!Guest review byRuth JohnsonUnited States
- From $599.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 24 reviewsIt’s a beautiful place, and so much to see before you even go out. The owners (James and James) are very helpful. The first James helped save us making a big mistake on our drive to Mt Cook (the info we’d received about the best route turned out to be wrong!). Also saved us time going to visit a site which was showing open online but he’d heard it was closed, so checked for us. Saved a lot of unnecessary driving the wrong way!Guest review byRichardUnited Arab Emirates
- From $150.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 714 reviewsThe layout of my room was perfect. I very much appreciated the hand and body soap dispenser, the compostable shower cap and hair tie included. I generally always bring my own shower cap as a just in case, so it was great to have that provided. To have an ironing board and iron available in the room was another unexpected bonus. The overall cleanliness, layout and all the amenities were top notch.Guest review byMisheleNew Zealand
- From $96.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 778 reviewsRoom was generously sized and we had a great balcony out the back with seating, where we could watch the bowls club. Shower was powerful and surprisingly hot! Well appointed kitchenette (toaster, microwave, kettle and all cutlery & crockery), which was useful during our stay over New Year and we really only had supermarkets as options for food.Guest review byCraig&SarahNew Zealand

We only stayed one night and did a whirwind tour.
We only stayed one night and did a whirwind tour. Steampunk to brewery to little blue penguins. Tees Street Cafe for breakfast and then we were off. I loved the quirkiness and historical charm and would like to go back. I think 2-3 nights would be more fun. Even 4 would be good. Everything close to each other though so still worth it for even 1 night. Magical!Guest review byTalchinsky - 10.0

We lived in Omarama approximately 30 years ago. It was lovely to see the progress in the town. There is plenty of places to eat out and all of them offer a good range of food, with friendly efficient staff.Guest review byHeatherNew Zealand - 10.0

It's a very special place to have crayfish and fresh fish at the Fish Wife. It's the only reason we travel and stay at Moeraki. Absolutely loving it. The Moeraki Tavern is also another fantastic place to eat. I highly recommend both.Guest review bySofia DalyNew Zealand - 10.0

A discovery really, as it was the most convenient place for a break in our journey but what a wonderful central location it turned out to be to see many surrounding wonders. Each season would have its own reasons for spending time here, which is exactly what I now intend to do.Guest review byArendNew Zealand - 10.0

I liked exploring the river and would have fished if we had stayed. Food at the local pub was good, we didn't try the steaks. There are lots of families who go to Kurow camping for the water activities in the lakes. There is a newish wetland to explore, and others like to cycle the area. The penguins are 90 kilometers away there are a fossil attraction down the road.Guest review byJoyAustralia - 10.0
How tidy people's property's. Super friendly people.
How tidy people's property's. Super friendly people. Good food. Lovely works to the beach. Four square store well stocked, and easy to get around. Hampden pub was nice to eat and relax for the whole family. They have games for kids to play, pingpong, table tennis and fus ball. Will go back some day.Guest review byRickerbyNew Zealand - 10.0
I loved everything about Waianakarua.
I loved everything about Waianakarua. The scenery, energy, the big spacious outdoor space was beyond me. The room I stayed in was dry, warm & safe. The owners were lovely and accomodating checking up daily on us. It’s a great stay of a spot for individual travel, couple travelling & also for families. The main kitchen & lounge area was gorgeous & comfortable & I will be back definitely.Guest review byMafi - 10.0

The beach ( Campbells Bay) was just stunning for walking and a quick dip. Very sheltered. Loved chatting to the locals at the market, the dairy and the owners of Kakanui Tomatoes. All so incredibly friendly . We took our bikes which was great for looking around because the town is quite spread out . We are coming backGuest review bytraceynelson99@gmail.comNew Zealand - 10.0

Often overlooked as a passing point to more exotic destination, this little stop over town has a few worthy attractions; the Clay Cliffs, the Ahuriri River, the Hot tub and the Glider rides etc. It is also near Twizel and Lake Ohau too.Guest review byJeremyAustralia
