- From US$142.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 6,820 reviewsInitially I booked an internal room, but found out later that these don't have a window, since the hotel wasn't full I got a good deal on upgrading to a city view room luckily, I was very happy with that, since I had to do some remote working from my hotel room. The city room view felt very luxurious and the view was great. The location was perfect as well, in the city center around a lot of good food places.Guest review byRobinNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 5 reviewsWe felt absolutely spoiled. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Will definitely be back even though it was a bit pricey.Guest review byLindaNew Zealand

The public transport is excellent.
The public transport is excellent. Very easy to get the city from the airport and to get around everywhere. Te Papa is great but there is also a wonderful Wellington Museum on the waterfront which is well worth a visit and not so well advertised. This tells you the history of the early Māori and their links to their ancestral environment. If you visit Antrim House (it’s very cool) and pick up a few brochures there, there are also some wonderful cultural and historic places to visit which give you a good picture of Wellington’s architecture since European settlement. Of particular note is the amazing clock at the top of the old BNZ building on Lambton Quay. Don’t bother with an umbrella on blustery days, it’ll turn inside out in 5 seconds1Guest review byAilsaNew Zealand - 10.0
Highlights
Highlights - Riverside and parks — The Hutt River and surrounding green spaces are excellent for easy walks, cycling, and watching the sunset. - Cafés and eateries — A growing café scene with several cosy spots for coffee, brunch, and casual meals. - Convenient transport — Well connected by commuter rail and buses; getting into Wellington CBD is straightforward. - Shopping and services — Queensgate and nearby retail strips make errands simple; plenty of everyday conveniences are close by. - Friendly locals — Generally warm, helpful people who make the place feel welcoming.Guest review byAshaAustralia - 10.0
It's the ideal getaway for a short vacation.
It's the ideal getaway for a short vacation. There are numerous short walks and dining options. Henley Lake and the Millennium Reserve are particular favourites and for a longer trip Castlepoint is hard to beat.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 8.0

I loved the friendly, relaxed vibe and the great places to eat and drink. The scenery is wonderful and the place is easy to walk, cycle or drive around. Ialso enjoyed the boutique type shops and places where you could buy something just a little bit different.Guest review byMaryNew Zealand - 6.0
Everything within walking distance.
Everything within walking distance. However there's NO pedestrian crossings from the motel side of the road! I'm a bit slow with bad hips and I was taking my life into my hands to get across to the mall lol. Great little cafe called "Local Authority" under the council building next to the gym! Fantastic coffee and lovely staff!Guest review byChrisNew Zealand - 6.0

Upper Hutt was a bit lack lustre, in terms of dining out, shopping and must do attractions. There needs a big push to promote activities from the locals to encourage out of towners to want to visit Upper Hutt.Guest review byLindaNew Zealand - 10.0

We visited Greytown to see the Longbush cottage tulip display which didn’t disappoint, the gift shops in the character buildings of the Main Street are always worth a look and there are many nice cafes to choose from, we ate at The Offering and Kokodeli and would definitely go back.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 10.0

We went to visit family and enjoy the local amenities. There are a couple of good cafe/restaurants, although they were very busy and hard to get bookings at. Lots of great walks to be had around the area.Guest review byAnneNew Zealand - 6.0

There is no Uber, only their local Taxi, which makes getting around without a car quite difficult They do have a lot of Beaches and Reserves close by, and when I stayed at the White House up the hill, I had an epic view with the best Sunset.Guest review byClliffdog01New Zealand
