Ibri is where the gravel plain which starts at the Saudi Border gives way to the first rocky escarpment as you drive East. The hotel is above a quiet clean, new shopping mall with Lulus, barber and food court. It couldn't be more convenient. All the rooms are on the first floor. We had the only 2 bedroom suite which surprised us with a washer dryer and big fridge freezer. Beds were super comfortable with great bedding. It was clean, well maintained and spacious. Breakfast was fresh food with cheerful, helpful staff. Good wifi. If you are driving from Saudi to Muscat this is a really good stopover. Wish we had built in time to see the fort, which looked fabulous clinging to a jebel, as we drove past.

Great location, amazing house , amenities . Sultan and his family were super flex and chill. They made sure we had a good time. The location is amazing and well worth the drive. I wish I could spend few more days there. The host organised barbecue and that was delicious. Our car tyre had a flat and they helped us get fixed. Highly recommend this place.

The house of Homeed is a great spot where one can unwind and relax in the silence of the beautiful Jebel Shams and enjoy the wonders of the sky from a marvellous sunset to the night sky full of stars. The rooms are comfortable elegant and clean. Homeed and his family are great hosts and under request they offer a delicious barbecue cooked on bonfire. Homeed also offers beautiful guided excursions; the top of Jebel Shams and the view of the canyon, walk along the the Balcony Walk and my personal favorite: the morning crossing down Wadi Ghul on order to arrive to Wadi Nakhr and bathe in the crystal clear waters of Wadi Nakhr Cave also named the Teapot.
