- From US$178.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 262 reviewsAuthentic nomadic style tents in a secluded area next to a large dune. The location was perfect to watch the sunset and sunrise on the dune but also could you easily drive yourself back to the village near the desert! It was easy to get there as a meeting point at 3pm was arranged and then you could decide if you would like to go by your own car (totally recommend if you have a 4WD) or pay for a pick-up. The owner was super friendly and greeted us with tea/ coffee and snacks and shared some information about Omani traditions. We booked a camel ride for the morning (10 OMR per person) and were picked up (free dune bashing included) to go camel riding at a nearby camp - we loved it, was very much fun! Dinner and breakfast was good as well with many vegetarian options!Guest review byMarleneAustria
- From US$413 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 810 reviewsIt's a perfect place for someone like me who loves nature but equally loves comfort and is not ready to sleep in a real tent in the desert. The resort is not far from the town, which is great if you need a doctor, for example. If you don't have a 4-wheeler, you can pay for a pick up to be arranged from the nearest petrol station to the resort. We enjoyed our stay because the staff were outstanding, very polite and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. The place is beautiful and quiet at night, so we appreciated the getaway from Muscat. The villa was clean and cozy, but some tiny things (lamp shade, showerhead) needed replacement.Guest review byMariaOman
- From US$118.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 590 reviewsAmazing location, amazing experience. The owner Mr. Obaid was very friendly and provided all the support and shared knowledge about the Bedouin people. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset on the dunes, rode camels, did dune bashing, kids milked goats and camels. The storytelling by the campfire was unforgettable. The accommodation is very basic - a tent, but nice. Immediately after sunset it cooled down so it was great to sleep in the tent and listen to absolute silence. Need a 4x4 to get to the camp. If you have one it is easy to navigate and cannot get lost.Guest review byBoris ErzenSlovenia

Amazing location. Helpful transportation from town to the camp (we couldn't take our rental into the Sands). Freedom to walk up the dunes at night on your own (I went out for astrophotography).Guest review byNickUnited States

Loved the sunset drive on the dunes.
Loved the sunset drive on the dunes. Dune bashing was fun and you can tell your driver what version of this you want - soft to fast ! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Make sure you book your seat at outdoor dining to avoid not getting a seat if the camp is full. Also book activities as soon as so you get your preferred time. Food was great - huge selection in the buffet and the musical entertainment was a great surprise !Guest review byAliceUnited Kingdom - 10
The desert is very beautiful here.
The desert is very beautiful here. Despite the multitude of camps, it is not a problem to have a perfectly quiet and serene evening or morning walk among the dunes. If possible, aim for a moonless night to enjoy the full splendor of the night sky.Guest review byMarkoBulgaria - 10
We had an excellent stay at the camp.
We had an excellent stay at the camp. It's a small and private camp, with a great view on the sand dunes. The tents are fully equipped and comfortable. All the people working at the camp were super friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was according to our expectations and beyond. We did a dune bashing activity, where we also watched the sunrise and took beautiful pictures. I also definitely recommend the camel ride to watch the sunrise! The dinner and breakfast was super delicious, and we enjoyed watching the stars around the campfire at night.Guest review byAnonymous
