The room was basic but a good size and clean. Breakfast offered many choices, well-presented and tasty. We stayed three nights during a relatively quiet time, as there were not many people in the hotel or tourists in town. We also received a discount at a nearby restaurant, which offered very good food. The location was perfect for hiking. It was the starting point for the black trail to Sowia Przełęcz. As a typical mountain resort, Karpacz is a bit more expensive than your usual Polish town. The town itself is very nice, with nice churches and mountain-style houses. Just a city for old people (which happens to be mostly Germans) which happens to have nice mountains next to it. You can ski there but there is not really lots of roads (?). At breakfast, Espresso must be paid for if you want it from the real machine at the bar, instead of the automatic dispensers. Steam bath was out of order, only sauna was available, besides the jacuzzis and the pools. Mattresses and pillows are not ideal, a little increase in quality could go a long way. Additionally, I would like to highlight the hotel manager, who was exceptionally helpful and professional in resolving a minor issue with the room. A beautiful setting with some great restaurants and bars. Although it was busy at the weekend during the day, it was very quiet on Sunday night and Monday during the day.
