Really fun, lovely town.
Really fun, lovely town. We loved the old town, it was filled with character. Lots of little shops and stalls and every type of cuisine you could possibly want! Amazing bars and restaurants to suit all needs. The beaches were lovely and large. The sea was quite rough but all main beaches were life guarded.Guest review byTamsyn LeanneUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely old town with intact walls.
Lovely old town with intact walls. Not crazy busy like other destinations but we were there in October. In general prices are OK but not cheap. Food was decent but we weren't blown away by what was on offer. A lovely place to visit and explore. Would definitely go back.Guest review byOwensIreland - 10.0

Lagos felt like a home from home for us, easy to get around, whether on foot or with the super-affordable Ubers. The food was incredible; not a single bad meal in 14 days, and all very reasonably priced. We loved Pie, Tieto (the all-you-can-eat Japanese spot, incredible) and of course Na Na Bah, home to one of the world’s top 50 burgers. You can't miss out on an early morning breakfast and one of the best coffees in town by going to Black and White - simply the best staff! The Portuguese people are genuinely friendly and full of life, we made so many new friends and felt completely welcomed. We are already planning our next trip and honestly wouldn’t change a thing. We split our stay between the Carvi Beach Hotel by Praia Dona Ana and the Marina Club Hotel near the marina, both within easy walking distance of the old town and both we would happily return to either. And do not miss the little café at the top of Praia Dona Ana Beach , all the profit helps to support the Philharmonic Orchester and Marisa serves what might just be the best 'Pastel de Nata' in all of Lagos.Guest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Amazing beach’s avoid town center even if close to beautiful beaches that are stunning memories of true Algarve but the city itself is very poor , ugly and just a nonsense buildings old to new mixed with no likely or history and cultural care. Outside town center beautiful views , walks and beach’s .Guest review byNelsonPortugal - 8.0

Visited many times, love the marina, golf courses and restaurants ( Braganca Mar, Pescador, Grace's, United Kitchens of India Casa Pituxa). Parts of Vilamoura are starting to look a little tired and would benefit from investment/ cleaning to refresh it.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice vibe in the town and the perfect size for me as I am not a city person. Charming cute town. The only thing I would have changed is to have a bigger sea view. From the town and the neighboring areas outside of town, but that’s just me.Guest review byGilliesUnited States - 10.0

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.Guest review byMr_C_WaddPortugal - 10.0

Amazing place lots of restaurants and bars but it is all spaced out if you have good legs this is no problem. Of course you can hire a car and drive out at night but if you want to drink you need to walk as we didn't see 1 taxi on our 9 night stay. Find accommodation near to Mareta beach as that's about central. Very young area lots of fit surfing people day and night which is great. There are 3 beaches within walking distance Tonel is the one for surfing if you can do!! Mareta beach is the nicest of the 3. There are many more you can drive to. The fort is interesting. Can be very windy as it is on the cliff top! We love the Algarve the whole lot of it I am addicted to it.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Been visiting Alvor for yrs.
Been visiting Alvor for yrs. This trip was the third this year. Alvor not for the party animal. But some great nights to be had. Walking along boardwalk and other pathways a must. The people are delightful, always smiling. Plenty of taxis to be had. For people with mobility issues Alvor might prove a challenge due to streets being steep, uneven footpaths that are also narrow. You will be spolt for choice regards restaurants, bars, entertainment and all the fish dishes you would like.Guest review byBrendaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful fishing village with gorgeous coastal views. I loved the fact that there were no high rise buildings. Very quaint and charming location, and centrally located to visit other parts of the Algarve coast!Guest review byJoyceUnited States
