The hotel is absolutely pet-friendly, which made our stay even more special. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. The staff were consistently helpful, professional, and genuinely kind.
One situation really proved the exceptional quality of this hotel: during a major power and communication outage that affected all of Portugal for half a day, the hotel did everything in its power to ensure guest comfort and safety. They managed to keep one elevator working, maintain internet access, and provide assistance to all guests throughout the blackout. This level of preparedness and care is rare — and speaks volumes about the hotel’s standards.
I also had a personal issue when I accidentally broke the lock on my suitcase. The hotel staff went out of their way to help me and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently.
The breakfast is simply perfect — with a wide selection and the option to order freshly prepared dishes to your taste.
And the views… just breathtaking. The ocean view from both the room and the restaurant is absolutely unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a true luxury experience with world-class service, this is the place to stay. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

New ZealandOur stay at Hotel Inglaterra in Estoril was nothing short of amazing – a true 10/10 experience! The hotel is full of character, with beautiful architecture, elegant decor, and a perfect location just a short walk from the beach, the train station, and charming Cascais.
But what really made our stay unforgettable was the incredible service – especially from Fransisco, the Guest Relations host. He was exceptional in every way: warm, professional, and always available on WhatsApp. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything ran smoothly and took care of every detail with genuine care.
One of the highlights was that we were celebrating our friend’s birthday during our stay. Fransisco and the hotel staff helped us make it truly special, going out of their way to organize a thoughtful surprise and making her feel celebrated and appreciated. It was such a lovely gesture and far beyond what we expected!
Thanks to Fransisco’s amazing support and the kindness of the staff, we felt truly welcome and taken care of throughout our entire visit. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Inglaterra to anyone visiting the Estoril–Cascais area. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Beach and rugged cliff coastline was a good combo . Excellent choices of restaurants from higher end ( Bougain) and simpler but good . The Paula Rego centre was a major draw for me and I wasn’t disappointed . Pretty parks to stroll in the shade too. The harbour and beaches are buzzing. If I’d have had longer I’d have hired a bike and cycled along to Estoril and the other direction to the lighthouse and beaches . The train service along the coast is reasonably priced and reliable. You could stay in Cascais and do day visits to Lisbon easily . Also easy to use train to get to Sintra.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). Paco de Arcos was a short 20 minute ride from the airport and just outside the city center. It is a quaint town, quiet and had great restaurants, lovely people and easy access to both train transit and beaches. You can walk all the way to Lisbon along the waterfront with many beaches and landmarks. We did a day trip to Cascais via the train and were completely at ease for our entire stay. The area was full of Quality built property with lots of trees,there were a good choice of supermarkets,the beaches were good,plenty of resturants bars and cafes,there was a nice small park.I dont go out drinking and I did not have details of any alternative evening activities,except for the excellent 4 evenings of musical entertainment at cascais festival. I ate all my meals at save the world hostels as it was my plan to walk and sight see in the morning take a break at lunchtime and do the same in the afternoon and read my books as well.Pingo Doice supermarket you could get a cup of coffee and a custard tart in their cafe for 1 euro.At Aldi Supermarket you could buy a packet of Markus Bio ground coffee (exc) Spar Supermarket exc choices only 7 mins away.Guest review byPeter - 10.0

Estoril is ideal for singles, couples and families who want a relaxing break away. There are plenty of hotels, bars, cafes and restaurants but there isn’t a specific area or ‘strip’ of these, they are just dotted around. The casino and its garden are a dominant and attractive focal point so there are a few places near to it. There’s Portuguese food, of course, but also Italian, Chinese, Indian and Japanese. You can get fish and seafood dishes of any sort but there’s also lots of steak on offer. Prices are very reasonable. Some people travel in and out of the town specifically and solely to use the beach by day or the casino by night, some to attend events at the glamorous looking fort on the beach, so the town isn’t dead but it can feel quiet at certain times. It’s definitely a chilled out place to stay in. There are only a few local shops for groceries and not really any souvenir shops. In my opinion, it has more of a local, residential vibe and isn’t touristy. For a change of scene, by train Cascais is just a 5 minute ride away or Lisbon is about 40 minutes away. It’s great to visit either and then escape the crowds by returning to Estoril! There is currently a replacement bus service in operation after 9pm (not sure how easy that is to use) but at other times the trains are very frequent and inexpensive.Guest review byPaulaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

All best beaches in Lisbon Subarban are located in Oeiras region. If booked a hotel this region , all the prominent beaches like Carcevelos , Cascais are all reachable in short duration by the Moffusil train. Beach lovers can think staying in Oeiras region .
