A magic luxery boutique hotel, on the border or Estoril and Cascais. You enter a world of history but with a contempory atmosphere. Staff is excellent and gives you a feeling of being home with kindness, friendly talks and classy suggestions for restaurants and visits.
Also the restaurant in the hotel where breakfast, lunch and diner is served is Michelin worthy.

Canada6 nights stay for business in mid-February - so it was the off-season. Although this is certainly a "spa hotel", it is perfectly suited to business travel as well. After a day of meetings in Lisbon, it was a pleasure to return to the hotel to unwind and relax. Bonus was the 5-star breakfast buffet as good as I have had in the Swiss Alps. I hope to return with my wife later this year.

United StatesThis boutique hotel is family owned, and the family is there most everyday, they take an active involvement in all of the affairs to provide a personal touch and ensure the highest quality. I really enjoyed meeting them and learning more about the area and the hotel itself. The owner provided excellent restaurant recommendations, we talked cars, and his son Francisco, the Guest Relations manager, provided an excellent trip idea for a drive up into the mountains of Sintra and Colares. They provided a bottle of water on check-in, a personal greeting card with chocolates in the room, and a note on the day of checkout. The bar tenders were great, especially the man who runs the bar at night. We had good conversations and he made good drinks.
The hotel has excellent modern amenities, comfortable beds, and a fast internet connection that is good enough for streaming, video calls, or gaming (at least during the off season when I was there).
This hotel also has an iron and ironing board in the room! Many hotels in Portugal I've stayed at lack these so you're waiting on housekeeping's hours to access them, and some have had neither, leaving you with wrinkled clothes. This is definitely a big plus from me as I like to press the wrinkles out of my clothes after traveling.
The pool is very nice, with great views of the buildings around it while still feeling secluded.
Location wise, it's about perfect. A short walk from the main waterfront, train stop, and beach, but being off the main road, not busy and noisy at all hours like that tends to be.
I hope to return in the future, this place is excellent.

Hotel was great, location was amazing (very fast walk to quite a few natural wonders, and Cabo da Roca is easily reachable by taxi), breakfast was quite fine and had something for everyone, pools looked great and there is nice peaceful garden to relax in.

We really enjoyed walking around the city, the views are very pretty and overall the buildings and structures are really beautiful, lots of stone archways, marble and old stone buildings to admire and pretty cobbled paths to walk. The road out by the coast is really enjoyable to walk also with landmarks like the boca du inferno well
Worth a look. Restaurants are plentiful with good food and lots of nice cafes to enjoy a coffee and pastry while enjoying the autumn sun. The weather was perfect whilst we were there, warm but not too hot. The train station in cascais takes u into Lisbon city in 45 minutes and is really enjoyable as you pass along other sea side towns with a view of the sea as you travel. It’s not expensive and runs every 20 mins

Estoril is a beautiful area, so well cared for and just a delight to experience. The town itself is stunning, buzzy and many areas to visit. The beaches are sandy, clean and so many areas to park. Cascais is definitely worth visiting.

Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). The main problem for us was the ddual carriageway that passes right by the beaches.

Paco de Arcos was a short 20 minute ride from the airport and just outside the city center. It is a quaint town, quiet and had great restaurants, lovely people and easy access to both train transit and beaches. You can walk all the way to Lisbon along the waterfront with many beaches and landmarks. We did a day trip to Cascais via the train and were completely at ease for our entire stay. Our best outing was a day trip to visit many of the Knight's Templar historical sites with a local guide who was a history buff and shared much of his knowledge with us.

The area was full of Quality built property with lots of trees,there were a good choice of supermarkets,the beaches were good,plenty of resturants
bars and cafes,there was a nice small park.I dont go out drinking and I did not have details of any alternative evening activities,except for the excellent 4 evenings of musical entertainment at cascais festival. I ate all my meals at save the world hostels as it was my plan to walk and sight see in the morning take a break at lunchtime and do the same in the afternoon and read my books as well.Pingo Doice supermarket you could
get a cup of coffee and a custard tart in their cafe for 1 euro.At Aldi Supermarket you could buy a packet of Markus Bio ground coffee (exc)

It's a cosy little apartment, very well situated, with a lovely large patio, garden with swimming pool. However, being at the garden level I was surprised at how dark it was during the daytime. The kitchen and bathroom definitely need an upgrade for the price they are asking. Overall, a comfortable place for a short visit.

The Paula Rego centre was a major draw for me and I wasn’t disappointed . Pretty parks to stroll in the shade too. The harbour and beaches are buzzing. If I’d have had longer I’d have hired a bike and cycled along to Estoril and the other direction to the lighthouse and beaches . The train service along the coast is reasonably priced and reliable. You could stay in Cascais and do day visits to Lisbon easily . Also easy to use train to get to Sintra.

Estoril is ideal for singles, couples and families who want a relaxing break away. There are plenty of hotels, bars, cafes and restaurants but there isn’t a specific area or ‘strip’ of these, they are just dotted around. The casino and its garden are a dominant and attractive focal point so there are a few places near to it. There’s Portuguese food, of course, but also Italian, Chinese, Indian and Japanese. You can get fish and seafood dishes of any sort but there’s also lots of steak on offer. Prices are very reasonable.
Some people travel in and out of the town specifically and solely to use the beach by day or the casino by night, some to attend events at the glamorous looking fort on the beach, so the town isn’t dead but it can feel quiet at certain times. It’s definitely a chilled out place to stay in. There are only a few local shops for groceries and not really any souvenir shops. In my opinion, it has more of a local, residential vibe and isn’t touristy.
For a change of scene, by train Cascais is just a 5 minute ride away or Lisbon is about 40 minutes away. It’s great to visit either and then escape the crowds by returning to Estoril! There is currently a replacement bus service in operation after 9pm (not sure how easy that is to use) but at other times the trains are very frequent and inexpensive.
