When we arrived, we were right away greeted by a smiling Ricardo. He made us feel welcome. The young man at the front desk- Pedro - helped us carry our luggage up the stairs to our room. The next morning, the kitchen staff asked us if we wohud like fried eggs - and made them specially for us - as we wanted them. The place was quiet and also close to town by car. The beaches were amazing!

We had a delightful experience; all the staff were thoughtful and helpful. We especially enjoyed the host. He was kind and attentive to be sure we were happy and enjoying our time there. Being right on the beach was lovely. The room included two beach chairs and an umbrella, and we stayed on the beach all day.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location is pure wilderness, surrounded by nature, with breathtaking, unpolluted night skies full of stars. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. Al has amazing stories about wine and offers a great wine tasting experience, while Ana prepares delicious meals and is super helpful with tips on what to see in the area. The design of the place is stunning, the mattresses and bedding are top-notch, and everything feels truly first-class. It’s a unique spot, definitely worth visiting. We highly recommend it!     We loved everything about our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable - both my sister and I had the best night sleep we've had in ages. The room was clean and quiet, with blackout curtains for sleeping and good wifi ... it had everything we could need or want. The robes and complimentary port were very nice touches. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying for both of us (one of us is a vegetarian, the other is not). The property itself is gorgeous. It happened to be a little too cold out to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and recommended some beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants for us to check out. Next time I'm back in this area I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to all my friends.

    My husband and I stayed here after a long motorcycle route through Portugal. It was our last stop and it was a delight to be somewhere tranquil, swim in the heated pool and have a lovely dinner without having to hop on the bike to get into town. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was also great. We will definitely back.

    Staff were super friendly and room was spotlessly clean. Its about 5 minutes walk from the main street so very central. Lovely pool area which we didnt get to use because of the weather. Breakfast was very good. I would recommend staying 2 nights in Porto Covo if starting the Fisherman's Trail there.

    I’ve been camping in this camping place for around 25 years and it has been always the best. It was the 1st time in the apartments, it’s nothing fancy but it was clean and it’s very big. They even “lend” us some cats to keep us company.

    Visited for 3 days as part of a road trip through Alentejo into the Algarve. Lovely resort with river and sea beaches. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Visited out of season so very quiet apart from a volume of backpackers. Weather was perfect.

    Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.

    Amazing place lots of restaurants and bars but it is all spaced out if you have good legs this is no problem. Of course you can hire a car and drive out at night but if you want to drink you need to walk as we didn't see 1 taxi on our 9 night stay. Find accommodation near to Mareta beach as that's about central. Very young area lots of fit surfing people day and night which is great. There are 3 beaches within walking distance Tonel is the one for surfing if you can do!! Mareta beach is the nicest of the 3. There are many more you can drive to. The fort is interesting. Can be very windy as it is on the cliff top! We love the Algarve the whole lot of it I am addicted to it.

    A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic.

    A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic. A great place for a short visit if you like to avoid the crowds or to look for accomodation if you plan to explore the gorgeous 'vicentina' coast, with car access to many great beaches. Most of these beaches are likely to be too 'wild' for most people, with difficult access, but they are perfect for the more adventurers and, again, for those who prefer to avoid the crowds. Plus, there are a few places in the village centre where you can enjoy a really tasteful light meal, of which I'd definitely reccommend the restaurants 'Ao Largo' and 'Casa Verde'.

    Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Beware the Mercado in the town was closed at 3.30 so we purchased sardines, cheese & wine fir our dinner at the apartment as it us 2.5km out of town

    Almograve is a beautiful town close to an amazing beach. The town itself was smaller than the surrounding towns with less amenities , like restaurants to choose from, but we were only there for one night so it was fine. We walked down the road to the beach to enjoy an amazing sunset. The weather was beautiful while we were there. ,

    We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't...

    We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't spend any time in the town of Carrapateira itself. But the next morning, we really enjoyed the various hiking trails and scenic overview spots accessible from Carrapateira via the perimeter road (E. da Praia), which starts with great views of and trails to Praia da Bordeira and then winds along the coast's edge for about 10 km. Great views and trails.
