Outstanding location. My lovely room had a little balcony with a view of the arch. The room was spotless and spacious and the cleaners did a great job daily. The fridge and desk were appreciated. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms were cozy and we enjoyed complete silence at night. Great amenities - the mini bar was complementary and always full and we got a new watter bottle everyday. They also changed the towels and cleaned the rooms daily. The breakfest has all the essentials you need and they always ask if you want an omelette or fried eggs that are not on display. Also, the bar was a very nice surprise - order the Sangria, you will not be disappointed!

I want to thank those two kind ladies at the reception. I booked for 3 nights, but due to personal reasons, I had to leave after the first night. While explaining my reasons, they were very helpful and nice. Also great welcome, since it was my first time in Portugal. They offered me breakfast and access to the minibar in the room. All great. I will take it into consideration when I’ll come back to Lisbon. Thanks.

    The people are great and the food is good.

    The people are great and the food is good. Easy to get fish in the restaurants and nearly always a vegetarian option. Very easy to get around in Lisbon. If you take the bus, just use a contactless card. If you use the tram, you do the same. The train stations are amazing, they just look like ordinary buildings. Rossio station is beautiful from the outside. We took a train to Sintra to see the Pena Palace. We also did one of the walking tours which was very useful. I find the pavements slippery and dangerous. I know Lisbon is very proud of it's pavements made from small bricks/stones but some are crumbling and probably very slippery when wet. But that is probably a criticism due to my age and my fear of slipping! I'm sure young people wouldn't agree!

    It is a lovely area to visit and there is a good choice of places to eat. Using the train to get there from the airport is easy and cheap. I was not there as a tourist myself but to take part in orienteering races, access to the train station was very helpful for getting to my running places.

    Beach and rugged cliff coastline was a good combo . Excellent choices of restaurants from higher end ( Bougain) and simpler but good . The Paula Rego centre was a major draw for me and I wasn’t disappointed . Pretty parks to stroll in the shade too. The harbour and beaches are buzzing. If I’d have had longer I’d have hired a bike and cycled along to Estoril and the other direction to the lighthouse and beaches . The train service along the coast is reasonably priced and reliable. You could stay in Cascais and do day visits to Lisbon easily . Also easy to use train to get to Sintra.

    Estoril is a beautiful area, so well cared for and just a delight to experience. The town itself is stunning, buzzy and many areas to visit. The beaches are sandy, clean and so many areas to park. Cascais is definitely worth visiting.

    Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). The main problem for us was the ddual carriageway that passes right by the beaches.

    The ocean is beautiful. Walking into town is safe and there are a number of good places to eat within walking distance. I loved the Döma and the Aloha Cafe. There were good pasteles de nata nearby. My favorite!! I also found excellent gelato.

    Almada is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon with all the tourist activity. Easy 10 minute ferry ride to Lisbon. $3.20 euro return trip. Almada is less expensive with all the food options you could possibly want, all the while you have a chance to enjoy the fabulous people of Portugal. If you like walking, it's a great area.
