So many pools to choose from. Indoor and outdoor. Was perfect for families with activities for children and they were having so much fun. I would like to see this set up in Australia for couples who need a break with their children. My grandchildren would have been so happy being there with us.Guest review byHelenAustralia

It is a lovely area to visit and there is a good choice of places to eat. Using the train to get there from the airport is easy and cheap. I was not there as a tourist myself but to take part in orienteering races, access to the train station was very helpful for getting to my running places.Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Good beaches and amenities within walking distance.
Good beaches and amenities within walking distance. Handy to Sintra, surrounding areas and Lisbon, particularly if you have a car, but public transport options were available too. Colares was relatively quiet compared to Sintra and it was great to escape the hustle and bustle. It a beautiful location, set amongst the tress and tends to be a little cooler than Lisbon, so was a very comfortable temperature, even in the height of summer.Guest review byStruanNew Zealand - 8.0

Terrugem is a great base if you have a car, with Cascais just 25 minutes away, Lisbon 30 minutes, and Sintra only 20 minutes. For those without a car, Bolt taxis are very affordable and easy to use. Nazaré is about 1.5 hours away, and on the way, it is well worth stopping at Óbidos, which is a beautiful historic town. A general note about Portugal: the people are very friendly and welcoming. Driving here was also a pleasure – roads were good, traffic was manageable, and drivers were respectful of the rules.Guest review byJeegrMalta - 10.0

Two days was sufficient time for me to do the exploring that I had planned to do. Sintra gets very busy during the day but it has compensations, such as great restaurants, and a number of sights to be seen. I recommend visiting. Get up early to avoid the crowds.Guest review byPullynAustralia - 10.0
This location was great.
This location was great. You can choose to stay in the town and enjoy the beach, restaurants, etc or venture to other nearby attractions like Praia Grande & Arribas Saltwater Pool, Azenhas do Mar pool, or take the trolly (or drive) to Sintra and other towns in the area. My young kids and I enjoyed going to the beach around sunset/low tide to walk the beach, enjoy the small pools of water, etc.Guest review byCatCaul89United States - 10.0

Thank you to Katarina and her husband for the cosy accommodation! All the amenities are in the house. This is a great place for a quiet holiday. Nearby are the historical sites in Sintra, the Atlantic coast, great seafood restaurants. I recommend this place for an unforgettable holiday.Guest review byVadymUkraine - 10.0
We loved Sintra! My husband was to move there.
We loved Sintra! My husband was to move there. Terrific gardens at all the major attractions. There are lots of tourists, especially at Penna Palace, so it’s a busy place. Late afternoon, the tour buses leave and it’s not as crowded. We uber end everywhere and Ubers cost less than in the states. The mountains are steep but some people (younger than us) were walking them, we felt safe, everyone friendly, most spoke English and we had some great dinners, we want to go back. The ocean is nearby, like just ten minutes or so away.Guest review byAnonymous
