I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. I also enjoyed a nice bath with my lady and to top it up , we had room service in the morning with a very tasteful breakfast and coffee which was included in the price. The stuff was amazing ! very kind ! 10/10 For me , this hotel was the best in town ! Definitely will visit again

    Great experience in this guest house, it is in Apuseni forest, stand alone, quiet and nice. The forest was covered in snow in December, but the waterfall did not freeze, we swam with the child in a warm pool outside overlooking the waterfall, then we warmed in the sauna almost on the roof. Thank you hotel for the experience!

    Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas...

    Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas being absolutely amazing landscapes. We had a tour of the churches, very spiritual and beautifully decorated. The locally grown food is excellent, as the locally distilled plum brandy, which is no. 1 in the country. It's also close to the city of Cluj, just 2 hours drive, so this could be made into a tandem visit.

    Beautiful village, well preserved, quiet and very good to relax. There is restaurant, bars where you can serve meals or have a nice relaxing drink. The local food is delicious. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking and is absolutely lovely to enjoy long walks in nature.

    Chişcău was the last accomodation in Romania before...

    Chişcău was the last accomodation in Romania before traveling 800 km to North (the illage is only 120 km from RO/ HU border). We selected Chişcău as it is is very close to Peștera Urșilor (Bear's cave). Accomodation was perfect - quite, with terrace and view to the stream.

    What a beautiful place!

    What a beautiful place! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment in this amazing cabin. It was such a peaceful place to rest, away form the busyness of normal life. Great job on making the environment both attractive and comfortable! The Cabin is well decorated, very welcoming, clean, provided of fulll kitchen equipments. We would definitely come back!     Cabana Daria3 was a perfect choice for our trip, for 2 families with children. The property contains 3 houses, but it is big enough that we felt it private. The property was clean and tidy, equipped with everything what you need for a few days trip. in area of 20-30 min by car there are a planty of locations to wisit, caves, waterfalls, hiking routes.

    Valea Drăganului is a great option for solo travelers who don't drive and want to walk or hike while not being completely isolated. If you take the train to the Valea Drăganului or Poieni train/bus stop, you can walk to the village center in a few kilometers. You'll find corner shops (ABC-uri) and even artisanal gelato in Valea Drăganului.

    Bear's Cave is amazingly beautiful.

    Bear's Cave is amazingly beautiful. Definitely worth visiting. It takes about 30-45 minutes to visit and about 10-15 minutes to enter from buying the ticket to organizing the group. "La fluturi" Museum has free entry. It contains old traditional objects, local and imported. It's interesting to visit and doesn't take long.

    Great location with lake views.

    Great location with lake views. Amazing potential for the area. No easy access to the take, many private villas, some quite opulent and not fitting the area style / not build using the traditional style, are blocking lake access in most places, many private roads, big dogs roaming around. No hiking or biking trails, no kayaking service. A crumbling resort from the 90s waiting for a buyer... A wonderful nature with a lot of wasted potential, typical post-Communist Romania situation. Maybe in 100-200 years it will be better...

    Arieseni is one of my darling ski resorts, since my youth, when it was just a village with a snowy hill closeby. Today is a tourist destination in Transylvania and Apuseni Mountains, a hub for both day trips or weklong backpacking hikes. There are caves and canyons to visit, horseback rides, steam train adventures and just breathtaking beauty landscapes. There are plenty of family restaurants (if you are looking for a McDonalds, you're in the wrong place), with delicious local food (try the trout, the polenta or the thick gulash soup). Visit the unique caves of Scarisoara (the world biggest ice cave) or Bears Cave, where 141 cave bears died 17000 years ago) or ride the vintage steam train along the Aries Valley.
