Bran Castle is also known as Dracula's Castle but there is no real link with either the historical or fictional Dracula. Nevertheless, the view from the hotel is spectacular. The hotel's restaurant is very good: try the platter of local cheeses with the Fume Blanc white wine. (Unlike in the UK, a cheese board is considered to be a starter in Romania.) Breakfast was huge - I think we only managed to eat about 30% of it. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Off-street parking is available at the back of the hotel.

The hotel is furnished with classic furniture, with a tasteful interior design. The rooms are big and clean, the bathrooms are equipped with everything you need, so you feel like you're in your own home or better than that :-) The balconies are large and with beautifully benches.
