The location is great with excellent views! The room was pretty large and clean, however, the bathroom lacked proper ventilation and illumination in the shower area. Other than that, everything was nice & neat. :)

Great small village, lots of places to visit nearby, be it the great city of Brasov, the Bran Castle or the bear sanctuary in Zarnesti. Or of course hiking in the Piatra Craiului mountains which are really impressive both for the views provided and forcthe hiking trails.

Steeped in history and the castle itself is so interesting as well as the stories. Every restaurant was great, the bar about the bottom of the castle was fantastic. Cant fault anywhere as all staff are always happy to help

The road to the location was no for the faint hearted, the location is actually in the real mountain area. Don't expect a perfect road to the location, because that would take the out the whole charm.

The town itself was quaint. I do not recommend buying admission tickets to the castle. The lines are insane, and there is NOT much to see in the castle. You can actually have a better time walking around the park at the bottom of the castle, and take better pictures. Inside there are many places that you are not allowed to take pics and are closely monitored. So, bypass the crowds, go into the park for free, even bring your pets (allowed in park but not the castle), have a nice cup of coffee from the cafe on the corner (Coffee 5). There is also a really good bakery right next door to the Coffee 5, it's called Mama's *** , and they have wonderful breads and baked goods. These two places also use cards, however, most PLACE ONLY TAKE CASH (RON). If you want the souveniers , such as magnets and postcards, there is a shop at the bottom of the castle, in the park, an official castle shop, they take cards and cash. I don't recommend buying at the market, you can haggle and ask for discounts, but again, cash only and the quality is cheap. You really should head over to Raskov and see the fort and dino land . The forest, walks, hiking trails and large fort with unforgettable views was seriously the saving grace and highlight of the trip. So the take away is this: 1: Skip the lines and DO NOT ENTER THE CASTLE, but stay outside in the park. 2: There is an excellent view point across from the castle, on the hill there is a cross, directly across from the castle. 3: Have coffee at Coffee 5 and buy baked goods nect door. 4: BRING CASH for shopping, except at Penny (supermarket) of verified shop. 5: go to Rasnov...take the entire day. 6: Enjpy the park at the bottom of the Castle, Bran.

Excellent small village, scattered on a slope, with south exposition, great view on Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountains, with many hiking and mountain biking options. If you want peace and quiet here you have it.
