The receptionist at Hotel Rexton that Friday at 10AM was the most helpful hotel employee I have met in my life. She sorted out all practical problems for me, and I will always remember that. Beautiful city. I had the oportunity to visit the Museum of the Book dedicated to the great Romanian intellectuals of the exile, and also the Museum of History, with wonderful explanations about the history of Oltenia. lovely hour in the art museum. Christmas market is a bit basic and very expensive for what was there. Food incredibly expensive and not great - I normally love mici but this wasn't good.
