Unfortunately our room did not have front view on sea but we really enjoyed the location of the hotel very close to the beach (nice for romantic walks before or after dinner)… The restaurant of the hotel is very nice in Swedish style and is offering some local food (BTW with very large choice for breakfast). The hotel is close to Ystad (only 10 km) which is a nice city of the southern Swedish coast (jazz festival starting from 31st July). Gothenburg is an incredibly walk-able city.
Gothenburg is an incredibly walk-able city. Sidewalks, pathways, and crossings are numerous and safe. Just note that there are lots of cobblestones, so were comfy shoes. There is an incredible amount of things to see and do, all within walking distance. The public transportation is outstanding and you will not need a rental car if you plan on staying within the city. The shopkeepers and business staff all know English and are very friendly and helpful. The general public is standoffish and dislikes interacting with tourists so don't expect to have conversations or even make eye contact with local citizens. Expect to pay by credit (mostly cashless) and know the exchange rate before you make purchases. There are a dizzying number of restaurants and shops of all kinds. In one week I went to six museums, a movie (in English), the symphony, countless shops, and the large park with animals, went on two different boat tours and a bus tour, and took hundreds of pictures while walking and sightseeing. All this while literally only staying within a tiny part of the city. I would like to go back to see the archipelago, the opera, a sporting event, and more museums.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We had flown to Copenhagen and planned to stay there until we found that hotels in Malmo were half the cost! Then we fell in love with this small city with its excellent restaurants and museum with delightful cafe. We learned about the "white buses" of WWII that helped rescue people from concentration camps. A piece of history unknown to us before -- and important to know! We caught the Slottstradgarden in its September splendor and enjoyed the cafe for tea and a shared piece of carrot cake before it closed for the day. Considering that I am hard travelling person and visited many countries and cities, It was one of the best Hotel in my life. Everything was brilliant: rooms, bathroom. I want to thank all staff of this Hotel. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. The breakfast was very delicious and pithy. The location also was not bad for the reason that Lund is very smart city by its roads and destinations. I liked to walk till city center without any transportation. Many thanks to you. This is an average size Swedish city situated between two lakes. For international travel it is well connected with Gothenburg by bus and rail. We went there to take compete at IronMan 70.3. It is a very friendly place with lots of locals coming to support athletes like me. Cafe and restaurant prices are very reasonable compare to bigger Swedish cities. Linkoping is nice, Have been there a couple of times over the years visiting my daughter. This time I stayed at Scandic between trains as the location is excellent - close to the railway station and the city centre. I would stay there again if I get a cool room. I did stay there again 27 - 28/7 and got a cool room facing the street thanks to Abbe. He was very helpful and interacted very nicely with family with children at check-in. Like a mini-manchester but with a Scandinavian touch. An insane amount of beautiful jugend architecture in a town for this size. It's fun to walk around and take it in. Wonderful castle and walks around and through the city were most enjoyable. The area is flat so no problems with steep inclines. Interesting history with many photo opportunities. The hotel is in the center of town, a 5 minute walk to the train station. Public parking is next to the hotel; after 6 pm it is free until 9 am.
