I usually don’t mention the basics like cleanliness or the owner’s kindness — those were excellent here, of course — but what really stood out to me was that, for the first time, the actual property looked even better than the photos I saw when booking. It feels like the building is relatively new, and everything was in great condition. After riding our bikes all day from Lake Bohinj, the owner agreed us with cold bottles of beer. Everything was great from there. The room was comfortable, the shower was hot, the Internet function and there was an excellent restaurant nearby in walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, including some butter and preserves from the farm itself.

The host was very helpful and went beyond her normal duty for me. When I arrived I was quite unwell, and the host enquired about what I might feel I could eat and cooked up soup for me. She also generously accommodated my washing needs. When travelling alone and becoming unwell, little things like this go a long way.
