We arrived to the hotel and the next day we wanted to go hiking, but my car's battery dead. The hotel staff helped for us. He took me with the hotel's car to the nearby town (Brezno), where I could buy a new battery. He took me back to the hotel and helped to replace the battery and the car was repaired. Brezno is centrally located and the surrounding countryside is easily accessed. The town centre is very pleasant whilst on the outskirts there is a superb car museum. Myto pod Dumbierom is a very good location if you wish to hike or ski or even to relax in the nature. To get around one needs a car, definitely. In the village there is no pedestrian path :( a big minus for someone like me, who prefers to walk rather than to go by car everywhere. "Kaviarnicka Myto" is located in the heart of the village and offers - besides of an excellent coffee - lovely ice cream, cakes and other drinks. Bear in mind that the groceries can be done in the village only until 17hod. In other villages some shops remain open until 20hod.Guest review byKatarinaSpain
