The staff is so nice , very polite and very easy to understand what you want .. the room are very comfortable , we took the one in front of the sea with a double swimming pool , I never saw that it’s very luxury , the jaccuzi is so big with a a incredible sun set in end of the day , the sun get totally orange and yellow , the special romantic dinner recommended , very testy

Super choice in Khao Lak area. Everything was super clean and equipped like a little oasis after a long journey. The opened building is also very nice, it’s great to sitting in the area in front of your room. Very kind staff. The location is perfect to discover Khao Lak. 7/11 2 mins walk, laundry 1 min walk, great places to eat within 10 mins walk. Breakfast was also good. Rooms are perfect and very equipped for a 3 days stay. Quiet area, not on the main road. Wifi was also great.

the location was amazing, water everywhere you go and the nature is wild and beautiful. the villa and the resort were super clean, the bed is heaven on earth and the shard + the privet pool were perfection. i love when you feel there is a lot of meaning and thought around and behind every element. the staff was incredible, kind and and there when i needed them. the breakfast is vegan and sustainable which is a dream come true - especially when it all tastes so good!!! can't wait to come back already.

The room was large, modern with great facilities including a small balcony. Despite being situated on the main road from Surat Thani to Krabi/Phuket we weren't disturbed by the noise of the traffic. A 10 mn walk via streets opposite the hotel took you to the beach, Bang Niang, a very nice one. A convenient place to stop for a couple of nights.

    Mai Khao Lak is simply fabulous—there’s no other way to put it! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by this beautiful resort. While it is a bit removed from central Khao Lak, the feeling of isolation is far from a downside. It’s a peaceful retreat, and with central Khao Lak only a short 15-minute ride away, the resort’s shuttle service makes it easy to stay connected (just remember to book your spot in advance). Despite the resort's large size, it remains quiet and uncrowded. Each block is designed with its own spacious pool, so you’ll never feel like you’re competing for space. The variety of on-site restaurants is a highlight, offering a wide selection of dishes to cater to every taste. The buffet breakfast is great for adults but even better for kids offering heaps of kid-friendly options. There's local dining along the beach. These spots serve up delicious, authentic food, and you’ll also find laundry services at an affordable 80 Baht per kilo. Massages also available. We had 2ad, 3ch and booked two rooms: one pool access room and one deluxe room. The resort did an excellent job of accommodating our request to have the rooms close together. The pool access room great, with direct access to the pool from the small decked seated area outside the room. There are also adult only areas with poolside bars and secluded, quiet areas. The staff at Mai Khao Lak are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, they made our stay effortless and enjoyable, their customer service 5 stars! We initially thought khao lak was too quiet, however there is so much to do if you research your trip. we found Facebook groups helpful for ideas, recommendations, and even booking private drivers. This made exploring the area easy and stress-free. Overall, Mai Khao Lak is a perfect getaway for families or couples seeking a peaceful, luxurious retreat with plenty of amenities and activities. Our experience was excellent, and we would happily stay here again!

    We had as an couple an excellent and very friendly stay at the Haven Khao Lak. Hotel itself is beautiful and the general feeling was very peaceful and there was this sense of serenity. Pool is excellent, very large and you definitely can do long distance swimming practice there if you want. Pool was clean also. Enjoyed it a lot. Room was beautiful and good quality. Beds gave us lovely sleeps. Air-conditioning works very well and you can adjust it how you like. We didn't hear any noises from other rooms, it was peaceful and nice. Gym was good. Hotel activities were excellent and fun, highly recommend having them, you can get to know with other hotel visitors that way also if you want. Breakfast was well made, coffee is served to the table. Service excellent! I liked this restaurant a lot, food had very good taste. Thanks to the chefs. We actually visited this hotel's restaurant quite often while staying in the hotel, excellent surroundings and service again. You also get free ride to certain restaurant from the hotel if you want to visit other places also. There are also few other places to eat 500m walk from the hotel. We didn't go to them but heard that those are good options also. One of the best things is the beach, it's so peaceful and quiet, there is in front of the hotel on the beach some benches and hammocks and swings, think about watching the sunset there without any restaurant buzzing or other things, just peace and a painting that slowly changes, light breeze and ocean making it's sounds. You can rent a scooter from the hotel like we did, no problems, easy and quiet drive to the main road. There are some rental firms at Khao Lak that also deliver scooter to the hotel for little price if you like that option. Good secure parking for the scooter. The staff deserves extra mention as they were very friendly and helpful, if we had any problems they were very willingly to help us out.

    We had a great time at the Sands at Khao Lak. The property is very well maintained and well-equipped with everything you could look forward to, in a resort for relaxation. The staff were very courteous and prompt in responses. The water park was superb and kids could spend hours having fun in the aqua park area and slides. There are several lounges/ recreation rooms with books, Board games, table tennis and billiards and a very well equipped gym. The best part is that these are all regularly maintained and kept arranged. There is an excellent kids club on the property which is very well supervised with many activities and we could really see that kids were genuinely having fun there. The staff there were polite, caring towards kids as well as friendly and considerate. There is a first aid room with nurse available on the property. There are several options for a drink or a bite. The location of the property is excellent, and just within 5-10 mins walk there are several good Thai Reataurants as well as souvenir shops and cafes. Breakfast is served from 6 am onwards so it makes for an early start to the day. We didn’t take part in many activities but there is more than enough to keep you occupied such as Thai cooking classes, yoga, Thai boxing and many more. Overall we had a very pleasant time at the Sands and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing for a relaxing time at Khao Lak.

    Spectacular place with great facilities and amenities. Starting with the breakfast which will satisfy anyone is nothing short of a 5 star city hotel. The pool is great and I loved the slides and jacuzzi functions - super fun to explore. the location is right next to the surf spot where my gf surfed day in and day out so it was great to come back to a fantastic hotel. Special mention to the pizza restaurant as I am a big fan of La Peppina in Bangkok and the restaurant has the same stone pizza oven from Naples!

On the first night of our stay, there was a sudden loud noise which turned out to be the breaking down of the airconditioning compressor.     We were in our honeymoon, they made sure we will have our room in the quitest and most isolated part of the hotel. So we were not too bothered with the kids running around.     If you want late nights, loud music and a party life, don’t go to Kho Lak. If you want rest and relaxation, great food and no crowds this is the place. Pick your time of year and the town seems deserted.

    Not as busy as Phuket, less people but lots of restaurants with reasonable prices. Very family orientated, no night clubs & pole dancing girly bars. Khao Lak is what Phuket was 30 years ago but is becoming more popular.

    We love khao lak as its a lovely town as it suits our need for relaxation, great food and its not hectic . If you're after entertainment and the business if a city, then it's not the place for you
