We spent many hours just out on the balcony of our room admiring the view. We were originally assigned a room on the lowest level which had access to the courtyard. This room felt less private and didn’t have ‘the view’. The staff at the front desk happily upgraded us for an extra charge to a room on the 3rd level and it was worth every baht. The ‘included’ breakfast was incredible. You can choose from the menu from many different options like eggs Benedict, eggs and avocado on toast, or Turkish eggs. You can also order barista made coffee which was very good. The buffet is also included which had an awesome selection of breads, pastries, fresh fruit, bacon, fresh vegetables etc. They had a rotating selection of little desserts including mini mango and sticky rice dishes. The shuttle was easy to book and very useful. I love it here . Has everything and anything. For me I like the beach , the restaurants, the markets and am happy to do that all day at one of the beach front bungalows. But there is plenty of night life if you want it . A lively place, lovely locals, easy to go other places on the island with taxis . The beach is beautiful. Warm water . Food and drinks along the beach .lots to see and do in the town. So many restaurants to choose from . Capybara cafe is so funny had a great time there . Love Silver Beach, garden was glorious at Promsuk Suri, but staff rather miserable, no customer care. Couldn’t even offer us a clean towel when changing prior to our flight we had to use a wet sandy towel from the beach!! Not the nicest part of island.
Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. We were planning on 2 nights but changed plans and left after 1 as there is nothing to do on the town but look at shops. One temple to visit if wanted. Wish we hadn’t stayed the one night! Ok for a transfer through to the islands but nothing more in our opinion. I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.
