Beautiful place on Kai Bae! Changed so many accomodation all over SE Asia and this is definitely one of the best! Hosts are so attentive and you really feel surrounded by such a positive energy. Excellent coffee and breakfast. Beach is couple of min walk... Suggest to walk by road til Cliff resort.. There is the best beach, sunbeds and lots of shade. Nice beach with no rocks. lots of restaurants, massage, 7elevent, etc... Close by. Will come back.

New hotel, very clean, fresh AC. The architecture of the place is very delicate. Salt water pool with super chill surroundings. It's calm and quiet so u can hear the birds and the wind in the trees. Very chill to just hangout there. Great coffee and the personnel are so sweet and kind. Order food with Line man. We stayed for a week and took many day trips with the motorbike to the island Koh Chang. Highly recommended! Best resort in Thailand.

Everything was beyond amazing.The location is very perfect. The bed, the room, bathroom. whole of the suite was so cleaning and comfortable.You can walk to access all services and explore the area The welcome is second to none. We had a marvelous stay of 6 nights in this hotel. We picked the Sea view room, and it was just superb. The room was big, clean, and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was amazing, everyone will find his taste in the large choice they offer : Thai dishes, western dishes, Soups, fruits, freshly prepared mowed fruits salad. Perfect to start the day, especially because the breakfast area is outdoor, with a roof though, with a view on the sea. The location of the hotel itself is very well : at the beach front, quiet area, and at a 3min walking distance from the main road where you will find a variety of restaurants, tour operators today organize your snorkeling trips, laundry service, and our truly beloved 7-11 supermarket of course! The staff was lovely, taking care good care of us and always smiling. Every evening, the narrow beach of the hotel is used to set tables for dinner. It's pretty, romantic, and you can order either some food from their menu, or fresh seafood or meat BBQ, or even Mukata! The prices are obviously higher than when you eat in a restaurant on the main street, but it's normal and not too overpriced though. It worth it. The pool is clean, the water is at a good temperature, and you can see the sea while swimming.

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could...

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

The boat Trip was Nice and good Service on the Piers. The Transport to Rest Sea Resort needs one Hour and Maybe Not everybody Like this. But the Location was Nice. Er don‘t know in other time. We was in end of raining Season The Restaurant Noochy on the Island is a Nice Fish Restaurant

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.

There just isn't very much to do.

There just isn't very much to do. We needed a night stopover before going to the island and our hotel was nice. Had a tasty pad-thai from the one place that was open and a couple of beers from a very nice bar next to a May-Thai gym. The few streets around the river are lovely and you do get the sense that you're suddenly away from all the tourists and in real Thailand. It is also extremely hot so not particularly pleasant to walk around either. At 8pm everything was shut down, including the night market.

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret. Keep it safe.

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.

Make sure you stay in town.

Make sure you stay in town. There is no night life, but Trat has great food and a wonderful market. Getting around Trat is not easy, you will have to walk. There are moto taxis but not always where you need them.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! Some wonderful seafood buffets to uncover and a visit to one of the elephant camps will satisfy your urge to explore.

We already went twice. It is my favourite island in Thailand. Easy to reach from Bangkok and very good value! Most beautiful nature and quiet. An adventure to bike around the island. Excellent seafood!
