Fabulous staff, very helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Walking distance down to a shopping and restaurant area. Breakfast was lovely. The Front Desk arranged van transfers to and from the Airport, as well as my balloon adventure and a Turkish dinner with a show. All were reasonably priced and punctual.

Everything! Staff is very friendly, they let us stay in the hotel before check in and after check out and even let us use the shower. The room is spacious, and decoration is really beautiful! We especially Iove the fireplace. The 2 kittens are so lovely and I hope they are safe and grow up strong! Location is good- just a short 10 mins walk to centre

By far the best hotel in Goreme. The location was great as everything was walking distance, Ie the restaurants, shops, markets, tour excursion offices. This hotel has great views with 3 balcony’s, you can see the hot air balloons and take amazing shots during sunrise. Hotel was very clean, facilities were working perfectly. The staff were super friendly, especially Fatima (who was on morning shift). She supported us with everything we needed and with booking our excursions. The rooms were large and spacious too. Overall, a brilliant hotel to stay in.

This is, for sure, the best hotel I have ever stayed! We had room with the big terrace overlooking city with great view on the balloons in the morning. Room was spacious and very comfortable, with nice and clean bathroom including all toiletries you could need. Breakfast buffet is so good! Lot of options to choose from and everything was delicious. All staff were so kind and helpful but I have to mention Fatma and Gulsen. Fatma made our breakfast even better - almays smiling, welcoming and attentive. She memorised almost instantly what kind of coffee do we like or how we like our eggs. Gulsen was our private tour guide that we booked with the hotel and she really made a difference in our stay in Cappadocia. She was so pleasant, nice and caring. Her stories and point of views were so interesting! Also the spa and pool area are nice additon to our stay. Dear Carus team, it was such a treat to stay with you - thank you for making it so memorable and for spoiling us and making it hard to return home!

    The hotel is located on the uphill of Goreme overlooking the town in a quiet place. The room was spotless, big with the seating area and fireplace, the bed comfortable - had a very good sleep. The breakfast was delicious served in the Turkish style and you can have it inside or on terrace. The stuff on the reception is very professional and friendly. We went to their spa, too and I can recommend it! It was very good and the girls there was very kind. After check out we could leave our luggage on the reception and use the hotel facilities. Thank you, much appreciate! When I come back to Cappadocia, I’ll stay here for sure.

    I feel so grateful and privileged for this one week stay! The historical setting and preservation efforts add lots of character to the place. Staff was amazingly kind and accommodating prior and during my stay. Room was spacious, furnished comfortably and beautifully designed. Food and service during breakfast were fantastic with lots of healthy options and local specialities. On-demand Shuttle service to downtown was very helpful, and so was Duygu from guest relations in facilitating cool adventures in the area.     We went to Cappadocia for beautiful landscapes and watching hot air balloons. And I am glad that we chose this hotel. It is high up and you can watch the whole town and a lot of balloons. Many terraces where you can watch the landscapes or take pictures. Friendly owners and staff who were always ready to answer any questions. Breakfasts will not leave you hungry. The cave rooms were an interesting experience. There was always a place to park the car.

    This hotel is gorgeous and very authentic. It’s located in a small village, away from the mass tourism. Which is why it was perfect for our romantic getaway. The staff was super friendly and helpful, also with organising activities in the area. We stayed in the Roman King Suite, which is a magnificent room with hamam and jacuzzi area. Very charming and spacious. Would totally recommend. The pool area is super cozy and peaceful.

    Göreme is truly a one-of-a-kind destination. The landscapes are breathtaking—fairy chimneys, cave houses, and stunning sunrise views with hot air balloons make it feel like you're in another world. The town has a unique charm and is a great base for exploring Cappadocia, with lots of tour options, hikes, and viewpoints nearby. That said, it’s good to be aware of a few things. Tourist scams are common, especially with overpriced tours or pushy vendors. It's worth doing a bit of research or booking through reputable sources. Also, while the food is generally good, some restaurants are overpriced for what you get—clearly aimed at tourists. Overall, Göreme is absolutely worth visiting, just go with a bit of caution and plan ahead to avoid the usual tourist pitfalls.

    Great location for accessing the Cappadocia region, activities and trails. Good, little town center with a variety of cuisines to choose from. The Uchisar castle is at the heart of town and wirth a visit.

    Urgup is small town but has a lot of very nice local restaurants, no chains!! A number of small shops selling local produce and the usual souvenir shops. Is you want a lot of hustle and bustle choose somewhere else but if you want somewhere a little more chilled and authentic this is the place.

    Hot air balloon rides to bustling decent crowd in the evenings, the place has an awesome vibe. You can enjoy the nature and man-made recreational experiences alike. A must Go To location for the families and friends alike.

    Ortahisar is a beautiful little town.

    Ortahisar is a beautiful little town. It’s quite quiet but a short taxi ride into slightly busier Goreme. I’m glad we stayed in Ortahisar though as it was much more relaxing and quaint. Hisarönü Restaurant was our favourite place to eat - fantastic food, lovely Cappadocian wine and shisha. We even got given a free slice of cake as it was the owners birthday. Highly recommend!

    It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. And fishing is also possible from the banks of the river.

    The old civilization and their remains is a main attraction.. the monk valley view is good and caves of this city is lovey to watch .. night dance live show is wonderful .. u can have a green tour there if u want to explore more about the city .. and hot air balloon is one of the main attraction of cappadocia…

    Göreme is a busy town but Coco Cave is a peaceful place to stay. Go walking in the valleys to have adventures where you will have more peace. We walked Love Valley, White Valley and Pigeon Valley on day and Red and Rose Valleys another day. We also walked Zena valley. All were beautiful with astonishing scenery. Highly recommend getting up early to watch the balloons. Food is expensive and generally not great in the town. We highly recommend Kilim restaurant for delicious and different Turkish food.

    Beautiful and quiet place.

    Beautiful and quiet place. Less busy and less expensive than Georme. Locations near Uçhisar castle is very lively but rule is same. closer your stay to main hub costly and busier it gets. Less than 10 mins drive to Georme town centre. Uchisar castle is worth visiting. Pigeon valley is 10 mins walk
