Beautifully located on the beach and what makes this hotel so special is the presence of the manager and the amazing staff! We have rarely felt as comfortable as we do here and we have never experienced such an attentive and present manager and we have stayed in many luxury hotels. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and eager. Our flight was postponed to very late, the Manager Tuan Thasleem Juhara knew that we had to do our checkout the next day and offered us a free late checkout including dinner! We were able to stay in our room until late, enjoy our last day to the fullest at the beach, watch the last sunset, have a shower in our room and enjoyed our last dinner with no rush and then checed out. Simply fantastic and so generous! From the staff at the reception, in the restaurant, bars, gardeners, room cleaners to the manager they are all great and go the extramile! Z2 is almost brand new. On the beach you have all the sporting activities and you can directly negotiate good prices with the boats to take excursions rather than use the high prices of the tour operators. The nanasi beach club is just 450m walk from Z Hotel and really good vibes . Z hotel has an excellent location and has an Indian restaurant with amazing food . I really enjoyed visiting Stone Town and the spice farms. I mostly ate at my hotel, and at night I went to Forodhani, where the seafood was amazing. Although most of my time was spent in meetings, I managed to take a few walks, and I found it quite easy to get around using taxis or simply walking through the main areas. Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family. Exquisit nature, kind people and the best food. Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice. Matemwe was nice - the beach part.
Matemwe was nice - the beach part. Sad to see the poverty behind the gates of the hotel. The tides were a bit different from what we have expected as the water would leave the beach at 9am and return around 5pm. If you did not make it to swim early in the morning, you missed it. We took a reef walk which was beautiful, saw a lot of see creatures, and that was very amazing experience. Also took a boat tour to see the sunset - it was worth the trip. Did not like how the locals would just stop on the beach and start shouting at you to buy smth. Also the part of the hotel beach is not segregated in any way, which does not give you a privacy enough. The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable.
