- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 388 reviews-Best beach experience in Zanzibar: Swim during high tide or during low tide you can explore wildlife in coral reef or walk further out to sand dunes where you can relax in crystal clear water or swim. -Hotel decor & ambiance: Most unique hotel I’ve stayed in my life. We really enjoyed all the unique lounge areas and the outdoor bathroom. The design is such a great value for the hotel price. This place was made for photos. -Location: Stay here if you plan to eat dinner at The Rock. The hotel is walking distance along the beach. The beach is also lined with other restaurants and activities. If that’s not enough, the hotel has a ton of reasonably priced pre-arranged activities. We were able to tell the beach hawkers no firmly because we already booked through the hotel. -Very Communal: The owner, Nicole, is very kind and welcoming. She set us up with activities and gave us the tour of our room. She’s present on site if you ever need anything. People often hang out in the restaurant in the evening which gives it a community, home-y feel.Guest review byKUnited States
- From US$1,033 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 128 reviewsAmazing location with the resort overseeing the beach just a few steps below. Clean picturesque sea view with mild low and high tides. The resort offers kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, spa and gym, choice of different massages and yoga sessions, all top notch. The staff (management to cleaning service personnell) is super-friendly, helpful and fulfílls all your wishes. The chef is a class of his own and it comes as a surprise Tulia restaurant does not have a Michelin star yet. Several interesting guided or ungiuded tours outside of the resort complete the experience. All in all, a really unique, amazing stay. Thank you!Guest review byOndrejSlovakia
- From US$650 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 240 reviewsWe were warmly welcomed by Geoffrey, who takes care of booking.com guests, and he made our whole stay very pleasant. We received a room upgrade, and we had a beautiful view from the top-floor room. The room was spacious enough, even though we had an extra bed for our child. The additional point I would like to highlight is the kitchen, all the food and drinks were super delicious and you could be very spoiled here. The beach place has been a top here. We will be very happy to come back.Guest review byMartin FiloSlovakia

Zanzibar is an amazing destination with beautiful beaches,...
Zanzibar is an amazing destination with beautiful beaches, friendly people, and a rich culture. Stone Town is full of history and character, and the spice farms, sandbanks, and snorkeling trips make the experience unforgettable. The food is delicious, especially the seafood, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I highly recommend visiting Zanzibar for anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...
If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.Guest review byK.ZgurovBulgaria - 10.0
Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family.
Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family. Exquisit nature, kind people and the best food. Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice. We loved every minute of our stay at Kiwengwa.Guest review byMarijaCroatia - 10.0
Matemwe was nice - the beach part.
Matemwe was nice - the beach part. Sad to see the poverty behind the gates of the hotel. The tides were a bit different from what we have expected as the water would leave the beach at 9am and return around 5pm. If you did not make it to swim early in the morning, you missed it. We took a reef walk which was beautiful, saw a lot of see creatures, and that was very amazing experience. Also took a boat tour to see the sunset - it was worth the trip. Did not like how the locals would just stop on the beach and start shouting at you to buy smth. Also the part of the hotel beach is not segregated in any way, which does not give you a privacy enough. The food was amazing though - the hotel goes much beyond - and all day brekfast concept was amazing.Guest review bySonya B.N.Austria - 8.0

The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. There is a lot of informal trade on the beach by locals trying to sell something. Maybe even more so if you are a woman walking alone.Guest review byCatharinaSouth Africa - 10.0

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying .
Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. Greetings Paula& Johannes from The Netherlands . We are looking forward to come back again .Guest review byJohannesNetherlands
