The views were amazing! Plus the small city had everything anyone would need. Restaurants close and wonderful! We ate at Sonny's and we were very happy with the quality, taste and price of our dinner! We were just driving through from Virginia to St Louis so...
We were just driving through from Virginia to St Louis so only stayed one night each way. Both the hotel and the restaurant were close to the interstate so we didn't see my h of Morehead. The restaurant Cattleman's Roadhouse was EXCELLENT. A wonderful salad bar and the best steak I've ever had. Great if you’re traveling when the water park is open or for a day trip, because otherwise there isn’t a lot to do. People are friendly, but other than fast food there isn’t a lot to eat. That being said king donuts is a must, great donuts, coffee and bubble tea and boba. The heater in our room did not work; it just kept blowing cold air. We had to get a heavy blanket from the front desk. The toilet takes about twenty minutes to refill enough to flush, so patience is required with two people on the room. Breakfast? I don’t know if it’s normal for this chain, but breakfast here was a choice of coffee, and a breakfast bar. That’s it.
