From check in to check out the entire stay was perfect. Anthony and Jasmine were truly wonderful. The Manager and morning clerk, I apologize I do not know their names were the kindest Women. We went to spend time together as Teresa is very ill. We could not have asked for a better place to be to spend our time together. Your lodge and the staff made this vacation one of the most memorable and unforgettable we will have.

    The location was perfect for the wedding we attended. The hotel was lovely and so nice to stay at. The decor reminded us of cottage country in Ontario, Canada. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. And the pool area was to die for!! The room was spacious and well laid out. We would most definitely return.

    The food and music festival was so enjoyable that we plan to return. Their State fair is well worth a visit. We enjoyed The High Life Lounge which shares space with El Bait Shop for the friendly service, comfort food and expansive beer options and will return on our next trip.

    Our family absolutely LOVES West Des Moines!

    Our family absolutely LOVES West Des Moines! We are located about 90 miles south in Bethany, MO and our family loves to come here to shop, spend the day, and partake in different activities such as games, Ax Throwing, Bowling, ect. It is a very clean and safe area and we like all the things that West Des Moines offers!

    The hotel was great, My Place Hotel.

    The hotel was great, My Place Hotel. With rain in the forecast we did not go to Adventureland Water Park, instead found Altoona Aquatic Center and it was great. A lot of places to eat and we did that as well. Found a unique place called Sugar Shack that the inside is like an old diner and had a fantastic breakfast there. There is certainly a lot to do in Altoona. Would definitely go back.

    The Holiday Inn Express was exceptional!

    The Holiday Inn Express was exceptional! Would definitely stay there again. The hotel was spotless, as was our hotel room, and the breakfast was delicious! There were many restaurants nearby—in fact, we walked to the Olive Garden for dinner. The hotel was close to the expressway, and there was lots to do in the area.

    It was an overnight stop from Michigan to Denver. The hotel is nice. It was a little old, needed more quiet lighting. Not all overhead. It is clean and the staff is nice. Breakfast in the morning is a nice plus. We travel with pets, and it's a nice spot to stay

    Our stay in Clive was relaxing and enjoyable. While there were a few minor things that needed attention and the property is currently for sale, it didn’t take away from our overall experience. We had most of what we needed to feel comfortable throughout our visit.

    Dirty, very rude gentleman, beds were too hard and the pillows were as well. The mold in the fridge made us have to throw any food left over from meals away. The breakfast they offer is a joke. The heating element is going out in 1 of the sides. And the batter for it was like water.

    Last year's stay was different than this years.

    Last year's stay was different than this years. Asked for close rooms they we're not. Desk said they were. From 01 to 25. Not close. Shower wash empty. Only 2 towels. Didn't clean our room so 2 towels didn't work. Had to ask the front desk. Breakfast room locked so if you wanted to play cards or a game at night no tables, only sofa table or coffee table. Bag of garbage sat for 2 days by the elevator. Very disappointing since we have been here before but feel the whole hotel has changed. New management?

    We were there for Bridge Festival and the All-Class reunion.

    We were there for Bridge Festival and the All-Class reunion. We spent time on the Square but did not enter all the retail businesses. It's a beautiful town any time of year, but the Fall colors are especially nice. I enjoyed the car show on Sunday. We also enjoyed our drive through the City Park and the Pammel State Park just west of town. We ate from vendors at the festival as well as Mexican food at the Mi Pueblito

    Des Moines, Iowa might just be the cleanest city we’ve ever...

    Des Moines, Iowa might just be the cleanest city we’ve ever stepped foot in—like someone hit the whole place with Windex and a giant mop. We wandered through downtown, dodging packs of fit folks on their celebratory struts for the National Senior Olympics. The river looked like it had one too many and spilled over its dams, flooding the lower walkway. Zombie Burger was a certified hangout spot, and the sculpture garden? A few unexpected gems made it well worth the stroll.
