Catskill is a town, which we didn't visit this time, but it is also the Mountains. We used to live in the area for the summers from 1985 - 95, so we know it well. We visited the site of the old Catskill Mountain House, and also the Kaaterskill Falls Observation deck, which was wonderful on this beutiful spring day. Also visited the Storm King Art Center on the way up, which was also wonderful.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 4.0
Mountain view and clean room.
Mountain view and clean room. Did not like the male manager. Did not like the breakfast. Cereal was not in a sealed container so it was soggy and steal. You served bagels and toaster did not work enough to even melt the hard butter. Had boiled eggs was the only choice. Biker chapter set up a tent on the mountain view side and was very loud and no one else could enjoy the back patio. The 13 to 14 bikers parked under the awning all day and night so that you couldn't park to unload or even walk up the front steps. We had to go around to the handicap walkway.Guest review byJean - 6.0
Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby.
Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby. There’s even a lovely wine & spirits store down the way. The winery is only open on weekends and with late hours- not conducive to Friday 11AM checkout times. Also, beware of the 55 MPH maximum speed limit with frequent speed traps & State Troopers fishing for tourists to ticket. They ask you a TON of questions (where you’re staying, where you’re headed, etc.) & then ticket you. That part is rather unpleasant.Guest review byBrown - 6.0

We stayed at Tannersville for a memorial at the Latvian centre. After New York it is very quiet. We didn’t have a hire car and this meant we couldn’t make the most of the area. Uber was non existent. Last Chance was good for food and drinks. The Liquor store was good too.Guest review byrosemaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is more like a village than a town.
It is more like a village than a town. I stayed there while visiting family in the area. The town is worth a short visit or a good place to stay if you are exploring the area and want a base to stay. There are some nice resturants in town and a nice small river side park. There really is nothing to do in the town itself. The bottomline is, if you passing by and not in a rush, take a look or need a place to spend the night, it is worth the visit.Guest review byLAWRENCEUnited States - 2.0

Pool was out of service it was cold and the thermostat was not working the male receptionist was very rude. My door was broken and made a lot of noise. Had someone complain about my door making too much noise told reception that my door was broken he did not care told me to go to bed at 11 so I don’t have to keep coming in and out my room, which was ridiculous. Should’ve put me in a room with a door that wasn’t broken. I will not go to this place again.Guest review byAmandaUnited States - 8.0
This area is gorgeous in the summertime.
This area is gorgeous in the summertime. Our host told us that during the week is best because people usually throng the area on the weekends, starting with Thursday. There are so many stunning views. There are many beautiful homes, and a number that are abandoned - which is sad to see. This area is nestled between Hunter and Windham mountains, so you can get your ski on in multiple places within a short driving distance.Guest review byWendyUnited States - 6.0

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and smelled fresh. It was a great price, but this is a no frills kind of place. Everything including beds, pillows, linens, fixtures and appliances are dated. I would recommend this place if you are not too fussy about amenities and quality of the bedding, etc.Guest review byLoriUnited States - 6.0

The drive up to the motel and parking area was rather steep & icy. You should have warned that a 4-wheel drive vehicle was necessary. We ended up having to spend $250 for chains to get our vehicle up, to our room. Additionally, we were unpleasantly surprise by the $60 additional fee for cleaning. Our room only had 3 bath towels for the 4 of us, and no one came to clean, take garbage out or make the beds during the 3 days we were there.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful.
I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful. The view of the mountains was really nice. The Windham Path was a peaceful, country trek. I had dinner at the Prominence restaurant. The staff (all of them) were so attentive, helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant dining experience.Guest review byjanUnited States
