Loved the September weather.
Loved the September weather. The views of the mountains were spectacular. Just short walk to the golf course and the beach. We stayed at Basecamp and loved it. Great food and entertainment! Just walked out if our room to enjoy live music. It was perfect. Parking can be a little tricky but we were in walking distance of everything. We were there for a wedding. Stateline is undergoing a huge transformation.
Stateline is undergoing a huge transformation. Harveys is being re-branded with a ton of construction. Inside was seriously a shell of itself. Golden Nugget is also under construction and remodel. The whole area just felt run down. Not the Stateline we remembered from years past. Gardnerville is a quiet little city adjoining Minden, 16 miles from Carson City, and just down the very steep Kingsbury Grade from Stateline and South Lake Tahoe. Bus service is good to all of these places, and a vehicle makes them more accessible. We took a side trip to Virginia City and saw wild horses. Experience was not that great , my kids took swimming consumes but pool was not in service. They were so sad. In room there are not phone , you need to call the number from your phone . We didn't go to Genoa on our most recent trip (it's 3 miles from Walley's Resort), but we have on other occasions. It's a fun little town with a lot of interesting history. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! I cannot say enough about this location - 100 Foot walk to beach. Clean, Sandy & Private Beach. Unit so close to water you can hear the lapping waves of the lake. We left our windows open it was wonderful. Super close to shopping, gas station, Casinos & Skiing in winter. Beautiful Sunsets. Quiet & Peaceful. Bike paths are great.
Bike paths are great. Sand Harbor was great too, but crowded. The bike path from Incline to Sand Harbor is a must. I think it has reached the point in South Lake where there are more people zipping around on escooters than bicycles.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 8.0

.=Tahoe is beautiful and I enjoyed the Gondola ride. Please note it does not run year round and you need to check the Heavenly Valley website for the schedule. There are lots of opportunities to check out the lake from an air balloon, on one of the many cruises or more active things like paddle boarding or jet skis. Stateline also has the casinos and some good restaurants, I dined at Gordon Ramseys Hells Kitchen and it was very good. It is not a cheap dinner but most are not these days and the food was exceptional especially the Sea Bass and the not to miss Toffee pudding.Guest review byjuliaUnited States - 8.0

Travel to Tahoe during long weekend is hard, all nearby hotels are super expensive. This one will give you addtional 20min driving but will save at least 300-400 dollar hotel fee. Genoa is a quaint historic gem of a city with lots of deer as residents. Several delicious restaurants are in town. It’s quiet and secluded. I stayed at David Wally’s Resort for about 5 months on a business trip once and fell in love with Genoa. I wish I could afford to live there will all of the spectacular views.Guest review bySandy
