Most importantly, we felt that the room was clean. There was a big screen TV with Roku and many free channels with movies. There was a small fridge in the room. There was no hair dryer. We asked for one with the reception and received one in just 10 min. I booked a super low rate and worried that the hotel won't honor it. My fear was unfounded, as the hotel manager Yuri reached out to me and said that my rate was a mistake but they would still honor it. Our stay was incredible - the room size was massive, and the bed and living area were very comfortable and well appointed. The guest facilities were amazing (including a small gym and game room, hot-tub and indoor pool), and the food at the restaurants was delicious. We really enjoyed the included breakfast every morning, and the complimentary cookies! Lake Placid is beautiful.
Lake Placid is beautiful. There are many things to see and do. however the prices were a bit high. Mirror Lake is wonderful. Didn't get a good look at Lake placid. Really need to shop around for reasonably priced dining. We enjoyed Mt. Vanhoven Berg. Enjoyed the Olympic Musem. We stayed in Saranac Lake to be close to Lake Placid and High Peaks hiking as well as to be centrally located for the Adirondack bike trail. We did rent bikes in town and ride on the trail, which is beautiful and wasn’t overly crowded.Guest review byCherylUnited States - 8.0

We should have known that Lake Placid would be full of tourists. This is not our favorite type of destination, but it was a convenient stopping point as we returned to Ohio from Canada. The Adirondacks are beautiful and there are many hiking trails to explore in the area. If we were in this area again, I would stay in Saranac and drive to the parts of the Adirondacks I am interested in. It is a less touristy town, but still offers good dining and hiking options. What we appreciated about the Devlin was that it was not fancy and was located on the edge of town. If you like Gatlinburg, you'll love Lake Placid.Guest review byGlenUnited States - 10.0
This is our second trip to Saranac in a month.
This is our second trip to Saranac in a month. Went out for the ice castle earlier in the month and back more recently for college tour in a nearby town. Blue Moon Café is fabulous and the nearby brew pubs a great way to end the day. Enjoyed stopping into a few of the shops on historic Main Street, Adirondack Hamlets to Huts https://adkh2h.org/shop/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=local&utm_content=website-button and the music store Ampersound. This was the best trip, just beautiful.
This was the best trip, just beautiful. Plenty to see and do, good food, able to walk to everything in town. Really enjoyed Revolutuon Rail Co, Lake placid pub and Brewery and Smoke Singals. We really liked shopping at Critters shop, those ladies were so sweet!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
