Cave city is a great place to visit.

Cave city is a great place to visit. There are many touristic places to visit. We have been to Mammoth Cave, Dinosaur Word, some of the gift shops and other places. The Cracker Barrel is the best place to eat in the area.

Horse Cave is a great place to visit.

Horse Cave is a great place to visit. There is so much to see and do. It's very close to Mammoth Cave and Dinosaur world. The Holiday Inn Express was a great hotel. It was so clean and the rooms are spacious. We were able to take our dog and she had plenty of room to walk outside and enjoy the area. Also, Dinosaur World allows leashed pets too. The Cracker Barrel in Cave City was a great place to dine.

Park City is a tiny, quiet town.

Park City is a tiny, quiet town. The only attraction I have found for Park City is the Grand Victorian Inn. Cave city is near with tourist attractions. Mammoth Cave National Park is near. Glasgow has more shopping and eateries. Horse Cave has Five Broke Girls' Cafe.

I hadn't been there since 1992, when I was younger and had good knees. I was so thankful for their Accessibility Tour. Thanks for thinking of us old folks, or others with special needs who can't maneuver all those miles of walking and so many steps. The younger ones in the family went on other tours, so I will have tons of photos. The caverns are GORGEOUS, and the rangers are so very helpful. Oh, and since our tour finished right at lunch time, we ate at The Lodge. Ooh, that was so good!

    This secluded hideaway was fabulous.

This secluded hideaway was fabulous. We really enjoyed the spacious deck! Although a few things could’ve been better such as newer linens and the dining light flickered, the overall stay is was great. We’d definitely choose this location again.

Great cabins. Just a few around a private lake.

Great cabins. Just a few around a private lake. Each is spaced for privacy. Great views from huge porch. Just minutes from Mammoth Caves. Great bargain in price. Like staying at the Ritz in the country. Inside cabin beautifully decorated and appointed. They have thought of everything. Fully stocked kitchen for you to prepare your own meals. Washer/dryer. Linens and towels. Guarantee you can book in confidence and you will be pleased.

    This hotel was awful.

This hotel was awful. The first room had a crack in the ceiling in one spot, and plaster coming off the ceiling with a small hole in another, requested another room, and it had bugs around the ceiling and along the corners. We were not there for more than an hour, and were told we still had to pay for the stay, which was 2 nights. Booking.com reached out to them and they did not respond, nor have they responded to me about the issue.

    Magnificent!

Magnificent! We were only able to sign up for two tours but what we saw was so incredible. The visitor's center was very interesting and had a lot of look at about the caves if you had to wait for your tour. The bathrooms were clean and big. All of the rangers and people working at the visitor's center and the ones giving the tours were very knowledgeable and nice. I was very happy to see them there! With all of the cuts being made to our National Parks, I've been worried about these hardworking people losing their important jobs. These were a few of the people I would like to thank: Moria at the customer service counter; Ranger Jarvis; Ranger Christopher Hansen, who was whittling spoons and other things out of pieces of wood behind the Visitor's center; and Ranger Mills. Signing up before we got to Kentucky is kind of a pain. There weren't a lot of things open and I didn't always get an alert so I had to check the website often to see if tours we wanted to go on were available. We drove 6 hours, from northwest Ohio, to see the Mammoth Caves so I wanted to make sure we were signed up before we got there. I had friends tell me that you absolutely have to try to sign up before you go. I'm glad we did! Beautiful woods, pretty area. We're hoping to come back sometime. The ferry was closed this trip due to recent flooding. We're hoping it will be open next time.

We enjoyed Dinosaur World, though it wasn't as good as it was several years ago when we brought our grandson. We also enjoyed Kentucky Down Under where the boys got to pet the kangaroos. They really loved that. We ate at McDonalds one night, Cracker Barrel another night and Long John Silver one night. The last night we got pizza at Pizza Hut. It is very easy getting around there. Signs make it wasy to find what you are looking for. I highly recommend Dinosaur World and Kentucky Down Under. That's the places that we visited.
