Nice town.
Nice town. Went the holiday weekend in Oct and several of the surrounding towns restaurants were already closed for the season. Be sure to check that out before you go. Beautiful scenery of the Bay from surrounding towns as well.Guest review byLORRAINEUnited States - 10.0

My only complaint is most eateries are closed on Mondays, like most towns, hard to find a good seafood restaurant in the area. Hard to navigate the town, lots of roads were closed due to construction/repairs on the railroad? tracks.Guest review bykathleenUnited States - 6.0

If we had been able to stay longer than 2 nights, and been able to drive to surrounding areas, which were all over another hour plus drive away, we would have enjoyed it more, but we were there for 2 nights and after driving 9 hours to get there, didn't have the energy or time to drive further so we stayed put. Loved the little beach and the adorable house we were in, but driving all that way to sit in the house for 2 days just didn't feel like much of a vacation to me. We also couldn't find scallops anywhere, which was shocking. Lobster rolls cost almost fifty bucks, which is crazy, so we just ate what we brought, essentially camped in a very nice little house. Loved Colonial Gables, but as far as Belfast, not impressed.Guest review byRebeccaUnited States - 10.0
Downtown is awesome for shopping and just for its look.
Downtown is awesome for shopping and just for its look. The neighborhoods are beautiful. Views of the water are great, restaurants on the water are great. I could live there. The streets are all one way which is a little tricky. Downtown is a little hilly.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 8.0
Touristy as all get out, but I knew that going in.
Touristy as all get out, but I knew that going in. Gorgeous town, lovely little bay. Houses and locals seemed great and I would highly recommend Camden over Portland (I believe that's some debate in this part of Maine.)Guest review byAngusUnited States - 10.0
Loved visiting town and near by Owls Head lighthouse.
Loved visiting town and near by Owls Head lighthouse. Ada's restaurant was yummy! I drove around and checked out the quaint houses and shops. I took a 4 day schooner sail with a group of 22 fellow Girl Campers . I will explore more before I head back to the airport in Portland. All the local people I talked to were so friendly and willing to answer all my "tourist" questions :).Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It's close to Boothbay Harbor, where there are lots of great places to eat, neat shops, art galleries, whale watches, and other fun things. We spent a day at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, which was well worth the time spent, and also made a day trip up to Acadia. Next visit, we'll check out the Aquarium (we just didn't have time, this trip). If you go, be sure to stop at Blanchard's Creamery and Cafe. Best ice cream for miles!!!Guest review byElizabeth - 10.0

This was a unique location with great amenities although we had quite a bit of rain we were still able to see quite a bit in a week, was very impressed with breakfast every morning! I did get to use the paddle boards and kayak. We are planning a return trip next year.Guest review byJeffreyUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful Maine area, multiple trails, unbelievable views, sunset, pine trees and coast, amazing air. Love the fresh seafood, boat trips, oyster tour in Damariscotta. Breakfasts at the Sea Gul Cafe, and fresh lobsters at Shaw's.Guest review byNataliyaUnited States - 10.0

We stayed at Hawks House Inn the night before we took the ferry to Monhegan out of New Harbor. It was perfect for us! It wasn’t easy to find a room for 3 people in the area. Hawks House Inn was clean and comfortable. Steve paid attention to my request for no strong cleaning products and he washed linens with All Free. Steve was great! He let my daughter leave her small car on the grass, even though he has limited parking, so we didn’t have to pay $40 each for two cars for one night on Monhegan. We had a fun time at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and enjoyed the museum and digs. An important part of Maine history! We had a good dinner at Pemaquid Seafood, on Steve’s recommendation. He had a wide selection of teas (which made me happy), coffee and banana bread ready, which we could take with us to catch an early ferry. It’s a lovely area! I would definitely stay there again! My daughter and granddaughter found a swimming hole in Walpole, which was a highlight for them on a hot day.Guest review byBetty
