We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and refreshing environment. The hot tub was a fantastic addition, offering us a relaxing evening. This hotel was exactly what we needed after Burning Man! The location was perfect—easy to find right off the highway. Our room was cozy, spotless, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. We really appreciated the laundry service, which was a lifesaver for starting to wash off all the desert dust. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and satisfying, and the outdoor pool felt incredible after a week in the desert. We also loved that late check-out was available for just $20 per hour, per room—such a great option!

    Lots of shopping and eating establishments. Great burgers at Burger Me! Enjoyed visit to Donner Lake Memorial State Park. Merchants selling winter wear in late April charging crazy amount of $ for snow gloves & boots so come prepared.

    Not enough parking!

    Not enough parking! Had to not do activities due to not getting a place to park. Beautiful lake, interesting cultural sights & wonderful trails...would love to go back when fewer people or parking issue is resolved.

    We stayed in the summer.

    We stayed in the summer. I loved the location - comfortable without being too touristy. Make sure you book your beach reservations well in advance of your trip; otherwise, you will end up hiking, and if you are from sea level like us, you will feel like you're dying.

    The Crown Motel is in the perfect location for Kings Beach.

    The Crown Motel is in the perfect location for Kings Beach. There are varied food and drink options, shopping, ice cream and mini golf within walking distance. The motel has a great pool and a private beach and is right next to Kings Beach State Park. Rentals are also available next door for scooters, electric bikes, paddleboards, kayaks, jet skis, etc. A great place for family vacations!

    Very scenic area with lots of water based and hiking...

    Very scenic area with lots of water based and hiking activities. Lots of great places to eat with friendly staff. Guests visiting in the summer months should be aware of a daily resort tax which is not reflected in the booking.com price. We incurred $50 extra per night which we were not aware of at the time of booking.

    It's an awesome place to visit; the skiing is world class,...

    It's an awesome place to visit; the skiing is world class, and the views of Lake Tahoe are unmatched anywhere in the USA. There is so much history at this Resort. The "Base-to-Base" gondola opens up so much more terrain to ski. The "Village" is nicely planned with shops and stores and great places to eat. There is even a tiny Market to help stock the fridge (but only for quick items, essential). If planing on staying up there for a week, also plan on going "into town" to purchase more grocery items (a car is needed)... UBER prices from Reno Airport are about $110. LIMITED OR NO Uber services returning to Reno!!! Cost to Return can be as high as $500.... If you Uber, get your drivers name and number; make an arrangement to contact that Uber driver and have them drive you back to Reno at the end of your vacation: Cash deal; off the books; it would be like a private limousine service. (about $125-$150)

    This is a great area.

    This is a great area. Lots of hiking, camping, and water activities. Things were very expensive. We paid for $6.49 per gallon which was the most we paid in our month long cross country road trip. It was also very busy, parking in some establishments took a long time to get a spot (bakery, hiking, etc) and getting a seat for meals also took planning.

    We stayed in Northstar Village south of truckee we found the town of truckee just delightful and charming, full of good restaurants. Very bustling during the day. And the natural food store New moon was superb!

    We had a wonderful stay in Tahoe City!

    We had a wonderful stay in Tahoe City! We were able to experience all the wonderful offerings of the Lake Tahoe area, including the lake, the river, the biking trails, hiking trails, etc. We also loved being close to amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and more.

    This was a great location - probably cannot go wrong with any location to stay...as it's easy to access the entire lake. There is a grocery store nearby, golf course, and a beach access at Lake Tahoe withing a short drive.
