Have always stayed at Danvers due to its ready access to roads and train in Salem going to spots I want to Visit - Boston, Gloucester, Rockport, Marblehead etc. Haven’ really visited Danvers, actually. Used to stay at nearby Towneplace Suites which has changed hands and brand. Have stayed at several other Best Western Plus hotels and found them nice. These facilities and especially the staff made this stay enjoyable.Really impressed with the staff who all seemed very happy to be working there and wanted to help however they could. Highly recommend the Duckboat tour in Boston, 7 Seas Whaleboat tour in Gloucester, Freedom Trail, History walking tour in Salem, visiting Marblehead, JFK Library, Acquarium, overdosing on cannolis, Italian food in North End- the list is endless.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0
Salem is a great city to spend 24 -72 hours in.
Salem is a great city to spend 24 -72 hours in. I am not a witch (or magic) guy & I still found much to enjoy. The architecture is fantastic. Just review the hours of openings & closings before you come.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0
Great view of ocean, but not a lot to do at this location.
Great view of ocean, but not a lot to do at this location. We played on the beach and built sandcastles. Few good restaurants (including Kellys roast beef ), train behind hotel makes it easy to travel into boston for activities, but not much immediately around hotel.Guest review byKristenUnited States - 8.0
Great place to stay for an early airport need.
Great place to stay for an early airport need. Our two beds were extremely comfortable. Room was BIG. Road to the hotel confusing a bit but after the stay the way to freeway in the morning was easy. Big fridge, Lots of tables to pack on.Guest review byVeronica AUnited States - 2.0

Broken alarm clock, broken room phone and door latch is broken too. The door doesn’t close behind you, when leaving. You need to reset latch from inside of room. Just before leaving it. I’d told front desk about it. She claimed that was normal thing. Then why NOT place a sticker on doors stating that. It was annoying every time, I’d stepped out. Then more problems was noted of noise from downstairs lobby of EMT’s taking a guest away at 12:30 AM. So slept poorly, then work up late for my day. Because of a broken alarm clock in room. When called on my cellular the next day and asked for late check out to get myself ready to head out. She declared they’re be a charge for that extra request. I’d left in a hurry and was very upset how we were treated as valued customers. I’ll never return there again. DFGuest review byDennisUnited States - 8.0

I love visiting Gloucester - seeing the magnificent views, walking along the harbor and at Stage Fort Park, Good Harbor Beach, Eastern Point Jetty, watching the fishing boats come and go. The Azorean Restaurant is one of our favorites. We could walk there from our hotel.Guest review byJoanneUnited States - 6.0
Expensive, food is way over priced for what you get.
Expensive, food is way over priced for what you get. Its a tourist place so parking is very limited. The hotels aren't that great basic hotels. Ok place to visit for a day. But, keep in mind the traffic, the packed marinas and the over priced not so great food. (ie paid 35 bucks for some cruddy fries and a small hot dog lobster roll thing) Ok place to visit for a day, maybe in the summer the beaches are nice? We went in the spring it was windy and colder.Guest review byJeff - 10.0
I like the location of our overnight acommodations.
I like the location of our overnight acommodations. There were little shops to wander in and out of. There are plenty of breakfast places as well as lunch and dinner restaurants or sandwich shops. It's a quaint little town.Guest review byHarvey - 10.0
Very quaint, friendly little town.
Very quaint, friendly little town. Actually went to the Old Newburyport home Home/museum. The woman that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly. We love leaning a little history everywhere we go. We ate in town I believe the name of the place with Tommy’s Harbour and the other place was the “Thirsty Whale” both had great service and excellent food. The name of Home that we went to the old Newberry something noGuest review byMicheleUnited States - 8.0

Very much met the expectation of a small coastal New England town. Found walking to most places the easiet l, streets are narrow and parking scarce. We went to different restaurants while there, The Landing was the better of the two. Beaches pretty typical for area a lot of rock and would suggest watershoesGuest review byAnonymous
