From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its breathtaking location – this hotel is indeed very close to the ocean, and the proximity to the water is simply unbeatable. One of the highlights of my stay was the everyday changing and tasty breakfast. Each morning, I eagerly looked forward to the delicious surprises that awaited me. It was a delightful way to start my mornings and provided the perfect fuel for my day of exploration. What truly sets the Ocean House apart, though, is the serenity it offers. It's an incredibly quiet place, perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I found myself relaxing like never before, with nothing but the soothing sounds of the ocean to accompany me. And let's not forget the view! The ocean view from the hotel is nothing short of spectacular. I spent countless hours gazing out at the horizon, watching the waves roll in and feeling completely mesmerized by the beauty of nature. It's a view that truly enhances the overall experience of staying at the Ocean House. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. In conclusion, I can't recommend the Ocean House hotel enough. It's a hidden gem that offers a unique combination of proximity to the ocean, delicious breakfasts, tranquility, and breathtaking ocean views. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, this is the place to be.

This location is EVERYTHING! we left our car and walked over to Pelican Brewing for dinner and then back. To wake up to these views was the highlight of our entire trip so far. The resort is so cute, clean, welcoming and cozy. The staff were great.

What an incredible stay!! The Pelican Shores Inn may be one of the loveliest places I've stayed. The view was flawless, the beds were super comfortable and the staff were lovely. The pool was fun to swim in and when we swam we were the only ones in it. The rooms were a great size and sleeping with the ocean right outside the window was such a treat. I honestly didn't want to leave and cannot wait to be back! I'm already planning my next trip. I only wish we'd booked for longer, two nights wasn't enough. Make sure you book this place, it's a rare gem. I can't recommend it more highly

    Remember to bring napkins or paper towels and some floats for the pool if you're bringing kids along. The outdoor pool is wonderfully warm, even when the air feels quite chilly. I really enjoyed swimming there! They also have lovely, soft robes to wear to and from the pool, which adds to the comfort. If you're planning your stay, I highly recommend adding breakfast—it's absolutely delicious and a great way to start the day!

    Don't be discouraged by the exterior! Clean, clean, clean room-- big plus! Jeremy checked us in and was absolutely fabulous! Excellent location despite the online booking which showed the location on the beach. We were within walking distance of the Prom and beach. The downtown area was so quaint and close!

    The town was quaint with great places to eat, stay, and...visit the ocean. We enjoyed it immensely. We ate at a great Thai restaurant called Lucky Thai Elephant restaurant. Delicious. We had coffee at the Human Bean. Wonderful!!!

    Astoria is a unique town in a unique location.

    Astoria is a unique town in a unique location. I love the architecture of many of the homes in Astoria and the way they are arrayed along hilly streets. The town is fairly compact so attractions are never a long drive away. Ships coming in from the sea to go up the Columbia river or returning to the sea lend interest as you drive or walk around the city. Astoria remains one of my favorite cities in the Pacific Northwest!

    I love Florence, especially Old Town area.

    I love Florence, especially Old Town area. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect -- sunny, with light breeze. And the people are so friendly. We ate at the Rambling Rose and just loved the waitress --(and all the staff), as well as good food. We come down every year to participate in the Florence Festival of Books.

    This is a charming little village with several nice art galleries and shops, and a wonderful bookstore. Good variety of places to eat. Ebola Creek Seafood Captain's Platter while $$$ was sure good. Hamburger and clam chowder with a locally brewed lager at Brew House just hit the spot. The kids and grandparents will love the toy stores as well. Folks are friendly.

    It's a great little Oregon Coastal town.

    It's a great little Oregon Coastal town. We ate fish and chips at the Luna in Yachats in a covered area where our dog was welcome as well. We also ate takeout at at a Mexican restaurant in Waldport, six miles north. YKachats has a cool art gallery caled the Peephole. Joyce is fun to talk with.

    Great town, with lots to see and do. Weather was so nice, which was a plus! We visited friends for their wedding anniversary celebration, and they showed up around town, which was nice as they know the town

    Gold beach bbq is great food.

    Gold beach bbq is great food. The other great food is sunset family pizza. Their tri tip pizza is awesome I recommend either place. I love goin to gold beach cause it's a quiet little town with lots of character.
