I loved the grounds-the waterfall, the bridge, the plentiful flowers, the breakfast, and getting a good nights sleep was so refreshing! I was glad our room had a tub as I prefer taking baths! We ate at ednme pizza in town and it was delicious! We are from the Central Valley so Pismo is a short trip to the beach. I love it here but it’s really busy and congested on the strip and at the beach. Also there are cigarette smokers everywhere and outside of restaurants and the smell is so strong as an outside diner. Brads, The Cracked Crab and Splash cafe are reason enough to come up just to eat. There’s a restaurant genre for everyone. Really great restaurants in Pismo. The locals are friendly. We really enjoyed our visit to the downtown of Arroyo Grande one evening where we stopped by Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab. A nostalgic place to enjoy some tasty ice cream and view historic photos of its early beginning and imagine what it was like back then to be a child in this place with toys and treats surrounding you. Grover Beach offers the Oceano Dunes and the Monarch Butterfly Grove. It is very close to Pismo Beach and is an affordable option for lodging in the area. Great location and cost for being so near the beach. Good rooms if you get the renovated ones. Stayed there several times. Great Mexican restaurant a block up! HOWEVER, no one on site 24/7 to ask questions and limited time when you can pick up your keys unless you make other arrangements. Also, maybe an isolated incident but they would not accept my Mastercard for some odd reason and I had to use my ATM.
