So much to explore!
So much to explore! We visited the lighthouses and sleeping bear dunes. Tried to explore the commons shopping area, but couldn't seem to get there. Could have used a better map. Hopefully we can check it out next time. Lots of road construction made it a challenge to navigate an unfamiliar city. Views were stunning along the bay. We hope to visit again perhaps next spring. Parking was definitely an issue. We passed on exploring some shops and restaurants because parking couldn't be found.Guest review byHarold - 10.0

The view was beautiful and peaceful The amazing sunsets of God's Masterpieces were incredible and picture perfect. The privacy and great accommodations of the condo made for a wonderful family bonding time and rest after a very busy season. Wanted to check out Sleeping Bear Dunes while out for 2 day trip north. Empire was centrally located to all locations of interest with the local beach being an added bonus. National Park office across the street from the hotel, how perfect. Had the weather cooperated, we would have enjoyed our trip much more. Our main goal was to bury my husband's ashes with his parents and other family members. However, we looked forward to going to the beach, perhaps taking a boat tour, riding jet skis, and parasailing. We needed more time to enjoy our visit. We had to extend our stay for another two days due to weather conditions in Washington, D.C., and our flights were being cancelled. However, there were no rental cars available. We were stuck in the hotel with only two restaurants within walking distance, the bridge to the beach was closed, and it was too far for me to walk to the next intersection where we could have crossed. For our next trip to Traverse City, we will plan to take more time off to enjoy it, and we will rent a house for one week. We will also check the weather as best we can.
