- From US$154.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 180 reviewsThe location of the hotel is excellent, very close to town centre and lake, yet having a peaceful and quite vibe. Most importantly I likely how the manager of the property and the staff addressed every need at a short notice and offered the best service. When I reached Lake Placid, I realised when booking I had made mistake by booking the wrong room type. The Manager, Yuri communicating through whataspp came up with a very good and effective solution and my stay was enjoyable and without any issues. The quality of room is very good and clean. The contactless check-in process works very well and is surprising convenient and also hassle free.Guest review byAbhijitHong Kong
- From US$514.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 182 reviewsMy wife and I went to the Whiteface Lodge for our mini-moon, right after our wedding in November. Our stay was incredible - the room size was massive, and the bed and living area were very comfortable and well appointed. The guest facilities were amazing (including a small gym and game room, hot-tub and indoor pool), and the food at the restaurants was delicious. We really enjoyed the included breakfast every morning, and the complimentary cookies! We went during the off season so it was extremely quiet and peaceful during our trip, which we really appreciated and needed. Will be going back again!Guest review byAndrew BulsonUnited States
- From US$111.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 323 reviewsWe did not want to leave! Staff were flexible with check-ins. Room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and effective air-con. All amenities you need including coffee machine and fridge. Bathroom was spacious, clean with great water pressure and no temperature issues. Big window at the back of the room with a view of trees and the river. Located next to a beautiful waterfall and river where you can take a dip. Restaurant attached to the cabin was delicious - would recommend the trout!Guest review byVictoriaUnited Kingdom

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 26 reviewsOn top of the solid 'standard' breakfast, Wayne made a hot daily special. The daily special was every time a treat. The blueberry pancakes were accompanied not by 'a syrup' but the real stuff 100% Maple.Guest review byPeterUnited States

We visited during the fall season.
We visited during the fall season. My husband and I are hikers. There are so many great hikes in the area - 46 high peaks or casual strolls around lakes.. There are so many wonderful restaurants, bars, and shops in the downtown area. I love a town where you can park your car and not have to drive for a few days.Guest review byNoreenUnited States - 10
An amazing small city.
An amazing small city. Lovely high peaks location, fascinating history, friendly people. The CAVU cafe at the regional airport was a delicious surprise. Everyone has their own tastes. Take time to walk and explore and you will find wonderful people, great food, and lots of things to do.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10
Beautiful Ausable River runs in the heart of the village.
Beautiful Ausable River runs in the heart of the village. Water is clean enough to take a dip and there is a waterfall which makes for a great hang-out spot. Restaurants abound for breakfast and dinner, would recommend the Hungry Trout resort restaurant for a delicious dinner with river views and great service. Activities include riverside hikes and swims in the summer, and skiing in the winter. We will be back.Guest review byVictoriaUnited Kingdom - 10
Great place for long hikes and challenging exercise.
Great place for long hikes and challenging exercise. Although not super high compared to French Alps, the mountains are pretty challenging. The region is really relaxing and a great place to rest from busy city life. Highly recommend to go on top of Big Slide which has magnificient views. If you are hiking in colder season, make sure to rent or buy a good pair of microspikes as they are absolutely necessary to hike on top of mountains. The high peaks information center was really friendly and gave very good information about conditions and required equipment. Make sure to visit them or call them before a hike.Guest review byThomasUnited States - 6.0

Its a small town with one of everything - gas station, restaurant, grocery store, bar etc. Everything is pricey with limited choices. There is nothing one can do here. Its just a place to stay. Some landmarks are close by. That's the best part.Guest review byRaja ShekharUnited States - 10

This town is unique in the travelers and hikers you meet from all over the world. There’s hikes for every level, as well as endless outdoor activities. Having no cell service can be a pain, but it’s also a nice way to disconnect. I hear it’s getting more crowded, but there’s lots of outdoor activities to do on dates that are less popular. Lots of good restaurants too.Guest review byHaleyUnited States - 8.0
Lake Placid is beautiful.
Lake Placid is beautiful. There are many things to see and do. however the prices were a bit high. Mirror Lake is wonderful. Didn't get a good look at Lake placid. Really need to shop around for reasonably priced dining. We enjoyed Mt. Vanhoven Berg. Enjoyed the Olympic Musem. Like most museums more fun if you have an interest in the subject.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10

We stayed in Saranac Lake to be close to Lake Placid and High Peaks hiking as well as to be centrally located for the Adirondack bike trail. We did rent bikes in town and ride on the trail, which is beautiful and wasn’t overly crowded.Guest review byCherylUnited States - 10

Wilmington is a great area with great hospitality and scenery...The Hungry Trout is a great restaurant to eat at and love the A&W restaurant and The Adirondacks Chocolates shop...The North Pole is a plus for families and the Scenic Whiteface Mt and highway offers nature's best views...The Little Supermarket has Everything you could ask for regarding food, sandwiches, ice cream and friendliness..All in all, Wilmington is just the best🗻Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We should have known that Lake Placid would be full of tourists. This is not our favorite type of destination, but it was a convenient stopping point as we returned to Ohio from Canada. The Adirondacks are beautiful and there are many hiking trails to explore in the area. If we were in this area again, I would stay in Saranac and drive to the parts of the Adirondacks I am interested in. It is a less touristy town, but still offers good dining and hiking options. What we appreciated about the Devlin was that it was not fancy and was located on the edge of town. If you like Gatlinburg, you'll love Lake Placid.Guest review byGlenUnited States
