FAQs about hotels in Yosemite National Park
Nature at its Immaculate Best
UNESCO World Heritage-listed Yosemite National Park is famous for spectacular granite rocks, plunging waterfalls and crystal clear lakes, immortalised in Ansel Adams photographs. Half Dome is its most famous peak and there is a hiking route up if you’ve got the energy.
At its feet is Yosemite Village, home to the only Yosemite hotels inside the park. Nearby is sheer El Capitan, popular with rock climbers, and the Cathedral Rocks where the Bridalveil Fall plummets to the ground. The Tunnel View observation point offers magnificent views of all this.
The Yosemite Falls are the highest in North America, but the park’s real beauty is just being surrounded by immaculate nature. From summer to winter Yosemite has a special draw attracting visitors year after year. It also attracts a wide range of native American wildlife including black bears, mountain beavers and coyotes.
South-west of the park is the forest of giant sequoias at Mariposa Grove. Mariposa itself is by Yosemite Airport and Oakhurst to the south has a good range of accommodation. El Portal has the closest hotels to Yosemite. On the eastern side, June Lake and Mammoth Lakes also have Yosemite hotels near the park available on Booking.com. Wherever you stay, bear in mind that some roads do get closed in case of heavy snow.

- From $243.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 7,451 reviewsStayed here with my dog and my brother, who was visiting from London. The location is not too far from the park, and the drive to get there is scenic and enjoyable. We loved having a kitchenette, which made meals convenient. The onsite restaurant was decent for the location—though we visited in the off-season, so it might be even better during peak times. The property felt safe, and one of the highlights was being able to hear the river—it was incredibly soothing. There are nice hangout areas by the river, complete with swings and other relaxing spots. Overall, the atmosphere was tranquil. Bonus points for the dog-friendly features, like a designated dog park and poop bag stations. Check-in was smooth, and the stay was comfortable. Would definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway!Guest review byRenuIndia
- From $175.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 334 reviewsThe property was well maintained, clean, and conveniently located. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We forgot our jacket in the room and they helped mail it to us later. The location was also good. We arrived in the late afternoon and went out to enjoy a quick evening drive along the June Lake Loop (CA-158) at sunset. Such a fantastic view and shade of sky!Guest review bySorawitThailand
- From $215.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.6Fair - What previous guests thought, 87 reviewsAn amazing and magical place in the foothills of Sierras. If you look for an old-style / rustic place with some character don’t look further. No your luxury brand hotel amenities, but it is in the heart of the region and has a good restaurant/ bar for reasonable priced food options.Guest review byAliUnited States

Great little town!
Great little town! We enjoyed eating at several local restaurants and enjoyed going through the local shops. Even the grocery store down the street from our hotel had friendly staff. We will be visiting again!Guest review byTammyUnited States - 10.0

We loved the raw beauty of the mountains, lakes and geologic features in the area. We didn't bring or rent bikes, but will the next time. An e-bike would be great for riding up to the Mammoth Lakes and touring the whole area. We will be back again, possibly during ski season as well.Guest review bySTEVENUnited States - 10.0

The restaurants were good but we were there on Memorial Day and found out the first day we needed reservations. Our best meals were at 1850 (reservations) and the Pizza Factory (they don't take reservations). Castillo's Mexican was pretty bad. Would not recommend.Guest review byJan - 8.0
The pools are great! The restaurant is AWFUL!
The pools are great! The restaurant is AWFUL! I'd rather eat my shoe than eat at that restaurant! The bar/grill are ok, certainly better than the restaurant, but that is speaking relatively... The store is very nice, offering a good variety of snacks and drinks. The location is very good, just a few miles away from the Yosemite entrance. The staff were friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean, and, thankfully, the AC worked well (it was 109 degrees when we were there!). The bathroom lights turned on automatically whenever someone entered the room, which we didn't like, and would have liked a way to turn that feature off.Guest review byNeckmanUnited States - 10.0

The lovely family at the Berkshire Inn made our three days and nights there just perfect. The rooms are comfy, the breakfast is delicious, and the town has fun restaurants and a grocery store. With Yosemite in driving distance it was perfect for our three days exploring the park.Guest review byAlexanderUnited States - 10.0
Fish camp is pretty remote.
Fish camp is pretty remote. There's a general store nearby that has some essentials but be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you need anything. Recommended to get supplies on your way in from Oakhurst and drive in to Fish Camp. Overall its the perfect spot to be close to Yosemite. For me personally I'd rather be close to the park than close to town.Guest review byTanya - 10.0
Lee Vining is a cool small town with a vintage vibe.
Lee Vining is a cool small town with a vintage vibe. It has a couple of great casual restaurants, shops with local Yosemite / Eastern Sierra themed merchandise, fishing/hiking gear and a gas station. It is the ultimate gateway stay for a trip into Yosemite National Park.Guest review bySandraUnited States - 10.0

Would highly recommend to anybody who loves nature and hiking, and wants to avoid having to drive into Yosemite Valley + find parking everyday. There's a few nice restaurants within Curry Village, including a bar (get the smashed burger), a pizza stall, and a dining hall-style canteen. There's also a small grocery store and outdoor gear store where you can buy anything you forgot to bring on the trip. Overall, a wonderful location that I would definitely stay in again.Guest review byAnton Rahul ObordoSingapore - 8.0
Small town about an hour out of Yosemite.
Small town about an hour out of Yosemite. We didn't leave our cabin except to drive up to Yosemite so we didn't really experience the town. Hadn't taken this route into Yosemite before so was delighted to find the drive from Midpines into the valley to be really beautiful.Guest review byCatherineUnited States - 10.0
My husband had a great day of fly fishing.
My husband had a great day of fly fishing. I relaxed on the deck with a good book. There are so many things to do in the June Lake area. We did some sight seeing. We usually come to relax, swim and fish. We ate at the Tiger Bar for dinner and as usual, it was delicious! We hope to be back soon!Guest review byAnonymous
