On our return, still early, the room was being cleaned so we were offered a lovely cup of tea and receptionist gave us local info whilst we used the wifi and relaxed. As soon as the room was ready we got access. Lovely little cabin, biju bathroom, and everything we needed. As we left reception we were given 2 comp breakfast tickets to thank us for waiting... so sweet we really didnt mind the wait since we were early anyway. Brilliant nights sleep on great bed. Location is at the outskirts of the small town of Springdale, which is a tourist town just outside the south entrance of Zion National Park. Springdale can get really busy and congested, so it was really nice to be on the end of the main drag. It is well within walking distance to the park and all the restaurants (Pizza & Noodle; Oskars; Bit & Spur; Brew Pub) and cool gallery/shopping spots (Worthington Gallery) in town. You also have the free in town shuttle that stops in several places throughout the town and takes you to the pedestrian entrance of the park. Hurricane is great because it's near Zion National Park and everything you can do there. We found a few great restaurants - River Rock Roasting Company's cinnamon rolls are not to be missed. We also loved Main Street Cafe. There's everything you need - grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, and restaurants. While staying in Hurricane, we embarked on a Canyoning tour with Red Desert Adventure. It was phenomenal! If rappelling down waterfalls, climbing Via Ferratta, and zip lining across canyons sounds like your happy place, then I highly recommend it! We also hiked the Narrows. A very nice and comfortable hotel. The room was cozy and had everything we needed (we even managed to iron a shirt before going out for dinner). The pool is large and pleasant, and breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of options. We enjoyed it as a great base for our hikes in Zion National Park. The one thing I would change is the large parking area inside the property, which many rooms face. Washington is located next to St. George, Utah and is a growing community. There are plenty of stores and restaurants. Most of the restaurants are chains but there are a few local standouts. This was my second time staying here and not my last! It has all you need and keeps your stay more outdoors focused, which is exactly what we wanted for our trip. The room was clean, provides relatively comfortable beds, towels, a microwave, mini fridge, table and hangers. We had a fire pit outside with additional seating so you don't even have to bring camping chairs if you don't want to. In the main building there are cooking supplies in case you forgot anything, along with fire starting supplies and different snack and drink options for a small fee. The hosts have thought of everything! I was also impressed with the bathroom and shower accommodations considering we were camping.
