Such a warm welcome from the very first moment. Excellent accommodation, outstanding range of wildlife and excellent food. Wonderful breakfast on the balcony overlooking elephants at the watering hole. Could not be more perfect. Ranger, Rayno, was so professional and with such great expertise. Made the whole experience simply perfect. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for a great stay.

Magical place, within a beautiful reserve. Attentive staff, large rooms furnished with great taste. The view over the valley is something unique, which alone is worth the trip. This place was an absolute gem in our long road trip in south africa. Absolutely recommended.

“I visited a town in South Africa called Grahamstown, also known as Makhanda. It is a beautiful place. At first, it looks small, but it has very good schools and University there . It is also easy to get around, and the security there is very good. People can walk freely and enjoy the town.”

A truly remarkable African safari experience. The staff were just incredible, warm and welcoming. So many special touches and extra effort into making a birthday celebration the best and most memorable experience possible. Delicious food, great South African wine and the best of the bush. Great game viewing! Highly recommend to anyone looking for something extraordinary!

The historical aspects were fascinating, especially the old Churches and cathedrals. These are largely untouched from the general significant decline in basic services. We were only there for a sporting event. Not sure it is a place we would consider a holiday destination.

The staff, guides, game drives, units and meals were all superior. Just make sure your unit is secured when you go away, as we left a window open and the poor staff had their hands full cleaning up as the monkeys managed to get in and had a huge party with my grand-daughter's glitter paint!

Grahamstown has amazing old buildings and history.

Grahamstown has amazing old buildings and history. BUT the roads are a disaster !! Giant potholes everywhere and some of the roads you have to actually look for the tar that is left. The municipality should be ashamed. African road between 3 biggest private schools is abysmal
