The location is fantastic, right in the heart of old Gruyères, with a beautiful view of the square, the fortress, and a glimpse of the Pre-Alps. We loved the authentic wooden interior, the cozy small salon with a fireplace, and the piano, which made for a relaxing evening. The hotel was peaceful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was traditional and delicious, and breakfast was equally enjoyable. The surrounding area is perfect for scenic walks, making it an ideal destination for both short getaways and longer stays. Conveniently close to Geneva, it’s a great spot to experience the heart of Switzerland.

Set in a chalet building, rooms at Hôtel de Ville have been recently renovated and retain traditional wooden features. They all include a TV set with cable channels and en suite bathrooms with bath or shower. The apartment was amazing, brand new, had everything we needed, the view was breathtaking, staff were so helpful, walking around the village was so beautiful, little shops, food and drink, visited the castle and the alien museam and walked around, the snow was just the icing in the cake, cannot express in words how amazing this place is
