The pension is very clean and well-kept and the hosts were so nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also really good. All of this made our stay an unforgettable experience and we can highly recommend Pension Ken & Mary.

The 2-star guest house is 5.1 km from Furano Station. Asahigaoka Park is 3.2 km from the guest house and Furano Marche is 4.5 km away. The breakfast provided was very good and the communal dining area was warm and inviting with a fire burning. The whole building was warm, well lit and very clean. Excellent ski drying room. The Prince Furano Ropeway ski lift was only 1.4km away which we drove to. The Japanese bath was a real bonus to use at the end of a hard days skiing. Joon was a generous and friendly host.

Ikoino Yuyado Iroha is just a 7-minute walk from Niseko Annupuri Ski Resort. Guests can soak in the hot spring baths or connect to the free WiFi. JR Niseko Train Station is located a 10-minute taxi ride away. Quality is top! Onsen is amazing, staff is wonderful, 5 minutes walking from the slopes, food fantastic! Would definitely repeat

Ki Niseko is ideally located less than 100metres from the high-speed gondola at Niseko Mt Resort Grand Hirafu. It boasts perfect ski-in ski-out access and ski storage, as well as indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Everything was perfect. Our road bikes were stored securely for the night.

The all-wooden Lodge Moiwa offers a warm atmosphere, with 4 shared lounges where guests can relax. It offers ticketing services and the best local guides among the staff. The lodge also houses a games room, drinks vending machines and free parking. This place has a wonderful, homey aesthetic, with lots of space devoted to common areas with beautiful views of Moiwa Ski Resort. If you want to ski and talk to other visiting skiers the is the place for it. (It’s worth noting that *every* guest we met was from Europe, Australia or North America.) The lodge is in every way built to host ski/snowboarders, with entrance with gear storage and drying areas. There is a reasonably priced rental gear delivery service as well. Altogether this was some of the simplest renting and riding I’ve ever done. The breakfast is *very* good—a standard American breakfast with all the eggs and toast and coffee you could want. They have an *adorable* bar built into the second floor which gets pretty lively and you might want to visit even if you don’t stay there. The location is amazing in terms of access to the Moiwa ski resort. Access to the various Niseko United ski bases is via a free daily van to Annupuri base which the lodge provides. They also do free pickup/drop off to bus stops and arrange cars to restaurants.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths and ocean views, Wakamatsu Hot Spring Resort is a 15-minute drive from JR Hakodate Station. Free parking is available on site. Delicately prepared Japanese meals are offered. This was our absolute favorite hotel during our entire trip to Hokkaido! The hotel is incredibly beautiful, with aesthetic details everywhere you look. Everything was spotlessly clean, and all the staff were so kind and welcoming. You can even book a private hot spring, which was such a special experience! We chose the breakfast-included option, and it was absolutely amazing—so delicious and abundant. On top of that, the restaurant’s view was breathtakingly beautiful. Our room was simply perfect—we loved it so much! It was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a stunning view of the ocean right outside. We are already looking forward to coming back again in the future! Thank you so much to the Wakamatsu and all the wonderful staff for giving us such a memorable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Featuring a garden and views of sea, Otaru Geihinkan is a recently renovated ryokan set in Otaru, 8.6 km from Otaru Station. This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space. There is a restaurant serving French cuisine, and free private parking is available. Very modern for Japan and lots of space. Incredible view over the bay and area to sit out. Rare in Japan. Nice little beach. Restaurant first class and worthy of a Michelin star in my opinion. Excellent service and staff who Spk a bit of English and try their hardest to help in any way. If you are going to Hokideo this is a fabulous base. Ps you need a car though ! I never leave reviews but this place is special. 12 out of 10 👌👍
