CanadaAmazing location in the mountains of Nara (an easy bus ride from Oji station), the property surrounding the temple was just beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious traditional meals. Lots of vending machines on site. This was the highlight of our trip and we'd absolutely do it again.

FinlandEverything was just perfect when we stayed here! When we arrived at the hotel, we were offered hot towels and lemon and honey tea. A worker took our luggage and brought it to our room. Our room was super spacious and comfortable, and there was even free beer and water in the fridge. The small outdoor bathtub was perfect and easy to use. The upstairs Onsen was small, but we were the only ones there, so it wasn't a problem for us. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were perfectly made and delicious. It was fun to taste so many different dishes and flavors that we otherwise wouldn't have tasted. The whole experience of staying here was just perfect and definitely a highlight of our entire Japan trip. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience a real ryokan experience

The hotwl was clean, staff were so accommodating, and the advice they gave us on Nara was second to none. The private bath was such a lovely touch in the evening. The lady who runs it doesn’t speak English, but understands little bits (we used Google translate for longer sentences). She’s such a lovely lady and very welcoming, showed us around the Ryokan and the facilities. The shower room is amazing with its hot bath! We loved staying in a traditional Japanese room with tatami flooring and the comfy futon beds, and the views from our window of the city was gorgeous! The stay offered many possibilities to experience authentic japanese ryokan (outfits, bath, room, breakfast etc.) The bath was free and the view was amazing. You could reach the location relatively easily. The futon and air conditioning ensured that we were not cold even though it was late February. The view from the breakfast room in the direction of Nara is breathtaking. The area was almost deserted, but seeking lonely serenity, this ryokan was perfect. No frills. A good place to gather thoughts - relaxing hot bath with a view from the mountain side and tea seremony next door at night.
