Conveniently located in central Kyoto, Ryokan KANADE offers a Japanese-style garden. Among the facilities of this property are a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Every room includes a terrace. Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive from this property. The place was beautiful. My only regret is not taking the in-house breakfast and dinner.

A snack bar and drinks vending machine are available at this ryokan. There is an on-site hot spring open-air bath, 2 indoor public baths in addition to a sauna facility. Massage service is also provided at a surcharge. Luggage storage is offered, while laundry service is offered at an additional charge. This hotel offers a peaceful ambiance and boasts beautiful decorations. The onsen is delightful, and the staff members are incredibly helpful. Even though some of them may not speak English fluently, they utilize translation devices to provide valuable information regarding baggage transportation. Furthermore, when my mother accidentally left her trousers in the room, the staff promptly packed them in a lovely manner and provided excellent service. Highly recommend this reasonably priced hotel in Kyoto.

The private Onzen next to the bath room guarantees a relaxing break after a full day of sight seeing.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. We only stayed one night but it was worth it. We were looking into a traditional Ryokan experience and that’s what we received. The complete staff was super kind, they welcomed us, received our bags before check in and later when we came up they welcomed us with tea and local sweets. In the night we had our kaiseki dinner (13 courses) it was a lot but definitely an experience to remember. Not good tho for sensitive paladars, be prepared to eat everything. The girl who served as our host was super nice and explained us everything. The private bath was also a highlight. We loved every second.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Among the facilities at this property are full-day security and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms. The Taisho era building in Gion was a great base for us, a party of 2. The hosts were very polite, they gave fair warning about the lack of soundproofing due to the building's age and materials used. The Hinoki bathtub was a bonus to the trip. Floor heating and ample temperature control were great for winter in Kyoto. The location is amazing, centrally accessible to all major areas, and walking 'home' is part of the experience. Our room had a kitchenette, which was also essential, we like cooking with local fresh ingredients. (Also the soba (buckwheat) pillows are a nice touch!)
