Staff exceptionally helpful with travel by rope way and bus about stops and time. Also about restaurants and local Lawsons which is .5 K walk. Excellent breakfast. Nice onsen with additional cold tub great for hot weather.

There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. The location and standard of amenity were superb. The hotel was easily accessible by public transport, locally or to / from the airport. The hot tubs on the top floors are a delight! I had a spacious Japanese style room overlooking the beach and out to sea, perfect for my last night in Japan. Women have a choice of yukata and there are plenty of drinks available in hotel lounge, though as the season slows, they maybe need.more attention to maintain supply. The evening buffet was diverse, plentiful, delicious and very welcome since there was nowhere locally for a snack or lunch. I had great help from a member of staff who spoke excellent English and found and organised a very straightforward (but not obvious) solution for getting me to the airport. Other staff either didn't know about it or couldn't explain and my Japanese wasn't nearly good enough to work it out.

Rooms come with free WiFi and the hotel offers a shuttle to/from JR Ooboke Station upon prior request. I had an incredible experience at Iya Onsen. The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop for a relaxing stay. The onsen is wonderful, providing a serene and rejuvenating experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious, and the variety of dishes left me very satisfied. The staff were exceptionally friendly and grateful, always ensuring that my needs were met and making me feel very welcome.

However, staff, food and hot spring is nice and nearby river is a good place to go for BBQ in summer. If you are looking for place where the time stops, this is where you want to go.

The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. Fabulous hotel in the countryside by a river. There's nothing much around it, but everything you need is inside - restaurant, shop, vending machines, and of course, the onsen. Our room was large, with a view over the river. The restaurant had many options for dinner and was inexpensive, and the food was delicious. The included breakfast was also great.

We had a good size room with a beautiful view of the ocean. the onsen also faced the ocean, so in the morning it was wonderful. A few minutes walk to the Otsuka museum. The half board was good, lots of fresh food.
