Amazing place to stay, extremely recommended. A really great experience in general - I stayed in one of the suites and could not have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful place to stay, only a short walk from Okunoin Cemetary and an easy walk to the rest of town. Very close to the bus stop from Koyasan Station. Staff were always helpful and the meals were unbelievably delicious and satisfying, even though I needed to ask for a soy-free modification. The best food I ate during my stay!

It's a fantastic place where you feel like you've entered another world. The monks are very polite, accommodating, and helpful. You absolutely must experience this.

民宿 すみ家は田辺市の川湯温泉にあり、Hosshinmon Oji Shrineまで12km、熊野古道なかへち美術館まで20km、熊野市紀和鉱山資料館まで23kmです。2つ星の旅館で、バー、エアコン付きのお部屋（無料WiFi、共用バスルーム付）を提供しています。この旅館からShingu Castle Ruins Parkまで34km、Fudarakusanji Templeまで44kmです。 民宿... ・仙人風呂に近く水着のまま、旅館まで戻る事が出来た。 ・冷蔵庫があり、買ってきたものを置いておくことが出来る。 ・電子レンジがあり、ちょっとしたものを温める事が出来る。 ・無料の洗濯機があり、水着を洗って翌日まで乾かせる。 ・無料のマッサージチェアがある。

From the reception to the checkout, everything was perfect. The monks were friendly and extremely helpful as well as being discrete. The complex is set back from the road so it is really peaceful. Dinner is served around 17:30 and is absolutely delicious. You are in a private room screened off from the other guests. The dinner is a highlight of the stay in Koya-san. I would just advise that this experience is not really recommended for younger kids and teenagers with limited food options. Dressing up in a yukata may be fun but a 9pm curfew and peaceful atmosphere isn't conducive to rest and relaxation either for them or the other guests. If you intend to do the night tour of the cemetery just remember the curfew. In summer nightfall is around 7:30. Before breakfast we participated in the morning service with everything explained in English A unique experience on Koya-san and an interesting insight into Buddhist practice.

The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.
